I was effectively kicked out for trying to shop. Last Friday evening, (12/2/16) and three weeks before Christmas, at approximately 6:10pm I stopped in with my two boys, ages 10 and 7, to look at motorcycles, helmets and boots. K&C Cycle in Hebron closes at 6:30pm. This year Santa is delivering 2-wheel magic on the 25th but I still needed to size the kids up for bikes and gear. I was raised in a small business family so I regularly buy from local companies when at all possible. When we arrived at K&C Cycle there were two gentlemen chatting at the front of the store and I said: "Howdy" when we walked in. My greeting was returned with a simple "Hi" and I replied: "were here to kill some time and look at some helmets and stuff" at which time both gentlemen looked at each other and one of them muttered "ooookayyy....". I tried to be vague so I wouldnt give my boys the idea that I was actually shopping for bikes and gear. Fifteen seconds later and after making it approximately 10 into the store, one gentleman left and the other, whom I assume now to be the owner, Ray, indicated that he was closing up and had to pull the outside bikes and quads in. Verbally, it was delivered oddly but I assumed he was letting me know that he would be in and out as we looked around. I said "okay, were just going to be looking around" at which point he said: "its close to closing" and non-verbally indicated that we should leave. At first I thought I was misinterpreting his cues but I quickly realized that he wanted us to leave...now. I said "so youre kicking us out?" to which he replied: "well youre the one who said youre just here to kill some time!". I replied with a simple "wow, you have got to be kidding me" and Ray again said: "hey buddy you said you were killing time!". Apparently, I did not realize that at K&C Cycles the potential customers loudly announce exactly what they will be buying when they walk in the door. I did not need to be told twice and began exiting what I thought was a motorcycle retail store. As I was walking towards the door I did explain that yes, we will leave, but that we will not ever be back, to which he replied, again and as he was walking further towards a different section of the store: "well youre the one who said you were just here to kill time". As I was exiting, I did inform him that he was a "business idiot", a remark that he did not like and after mulling it over for a second he turned quickly on his heels and with finger in air he exclaimed as he walked towards me that he was not an idiot and that he has had the displeasure of dealing with the "public" for years. Im not proud of calling him an idiot in front of my boys and if I could take it back I would. The interaction I had with the owner of K&C Cycles in Hebron, OH was the single worst retail experience I believe I have had. My perception was, sadly, on that day, Ray was doing his best to continue to erode the American mom-n-pop shopping experience and force individuals like myself to enhance the sales numbers of the larger corporate organizations that practice decent customer service, such as not kicking you out upon arrival. Our family has now purchased two youth motorcycles and we are currently shopping for two adult off-road motorcycles and gear. -Tony

Just bought two 2015 Vstar 950s. This is my third bike from a different company. Bought first from ASK (hidden fees everywhere) Bought second from Iron Pony (they just take money off invoice and add it somewhere else to trick you into thinking your getting a good deal, then think theyre making up for it with 20% off anything in store). The third times the charm!!! So happy we bought our forever motorcycles from these fine folks. Yes, Al is set in his ways. He has an odd sense of humor but a really nice guy. Dont act like an ass, make stupid demands and he will be cool with you. NO ONE will call w you to test ride a motorcycle!!! They are on the showroom floor dry! You wouldnt want to buy a bike that has been sitting in the floor with all fluids in it for months at a time. Anyone who has a clue about buying a new bike knows this! Best deal we ever received and it didnt take a whole day to buy like everyone else! Got there at 4:45pm and rode off on our new 950s at 6:30pm! Time also included talking. You want a great no non sense deal with no hidden fees, get your new ride here! Yamaha for life!!!!!

Bought a brand new bike from them a week ago. The Owner Al was a good guy and knowledgable about bikes overall. The co-owner is a nice woman as well. They are no nonsence down home people. I bought a brand new 2015 FZ07. As far as the test ride goes, there was none. He was straight up about it and said if you qualify for the bike, after prep, if you ride and dont like it, you dont have to buy it. That was fair in my book. dealers typically are reluctant to allow people to ride brand new bikes unless they are mega stores. Good service. No pressure. Friendly. As a side not, Al is in his sixties and still races Ducatis. He has a good overall knowledge of motorcycles. If you are in the area, I would check them out.

Salemans (claims to be owner) is extremely unpleasant and rude. Older guy with grey hair and glasses is a know it all prick ! Do not go to this dealer ship you will be insulted and refused service. Ask old prick for a test ride, he refused and said to come back on a day with better weather. Returned later when weather met his standards and he still refused a test ride. Ask old prick why , He claimed bike was not prepped ! Old prick will argue with you and tell you are wrong !!!!!! Worst salesman Ive ever encountered. Tell your friends to stay away from this place. He is very bad for Yamaha motorcycles. franchise should be pulled !!!!

Called about a recall for my 2015 Fj09 as I originally purchased from Ask but being from closter to K&C, I thought I would bring the business to them. Al (the owner) got on the phone and told me he didnt want my business and that I should take it to Ask. Funny story, I also was going to shop for a new dirtbike while I was waiting for the simple 30 min / 2 handlebar clamp to be replaced. Guess Ask it is! Nice job, Al!

The owners have a lot of experience and were really helpful and patient as I spent several months deciding which bike to buy. They gave me a fantastic price on the bike I finally bought, which I didnt expect from a small dealer. Also, I trust the service department (which is just the owner) more than any other local dealer.
