The Carrousel Keyer is an excellent little hidden treasure for those of us in northern Cincinnati who would rather not have to travel all the way downtown to Straus every time wed like a good smoke. The two owners are friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices are competitive. Unfortunately, Ohio has a pretty big tobacco tax (especially as compared to Kentucky) and most of the Ohio cigar shops have either been forced to start charging a premium or be put out of business. Fortunately, Carrousel Keyer has been able to keep this under control so far. They offer a nice selection of mid-range cigars ($4-$9), with a couple below and a couple above this price point. As far as improvements, they could offer a slightly larger range of cigar brands- they have a decent selection for a smaller shop, but the lions share of the store is devoted to pipes and pipe tobacco, and I wish the ratio was tilted a little more towards the cigars. But nonetheless as the previous reviewer said, Carrousel Keyer is a diamond in the rough for us northern Cincinnatians.

One of if not the best shop outside of downtown. They carry a wide selection of cigars, aromatic pipe tobaccos and english tobaccos. Great selection of estate pipes , new Petersons and Savinelli. The owners know tobacco and will help you with selecting something for your tastes. Smoking in the shop is allowed and encouraged.

This place is a definite “Diamond in the rough”. Excellent pipe selection of new and estate pipes, as well as tinned and bulk tobaccos. Very knowledgeable staff, as well as friendly, the kind of place you can make a purchase and sit down for a bit to enjoy a conversation. Would highly recommend for any pipe or cigar smoker.

Carrousel Keyer is a great treasure. From my first visit I was warmly welcomed. These gentlemen know their trade! I have been loving to spend a day off now and then in the shop, enjoying a great cigar and learning more about the subject. I love this place!
