I got a wedding band tattoo done here by Dutchess in February. You cant even tell what my tattoo says because it is incredibly light. My husband got his done as well and his is ten times darker than mines and you can actually read what it says. I went back in there in March to have it done over and I was told by Dutchess that the reason mine looks faded and his does not is because I am cleaner than he is (her words, not mine). What I tried to explain to her was that it didnt fade, it was never dark. When the tattoo began peeling I could tell that it was going to be incredibly light from the start. She was going out of town as usual so she appointed one of her workers to do it instead. He took his time getting set up and then decided to volunteer to help Dutchess with her suitcases. After about 20 minutes I decided to just leave because it was ridiculous just how unprofessional this shop is. Walking to my car, I notice the guy who was supposed to be doing my tattoo leaned up against the car smoking and talking to Dutchess, and neither one bothered to acknowledge me. I was really rooting for Pretty N Ink which is why my husband and I paid $214 to get matching wedding band tattoos that simply say "Est 2004". We were over charged and given very low quality work that Dutchess is not even willing to accept responsiblity for. She blames it on the fact that women are cleaner than men and that (in her words) "I told you it was going to fade". I would not expect something to fade the very next month though. I hope everyone takes heed to the fact that the workers in this shop are NOT concerned with their customers time or money.

In response to Amber Falls Pretty N Ink is an alternative business that supports all artistic expressions. because of the beautiful mural on the wall the waiting room has a vintage authentic sign dated September 11, 1915 it is a historical representation of how life was then and it is hanging as a play on words you are the only person who has voiced their opinion in a negative connotation but said nothing while you were here. We apologize for you feeling offended however this is a creative space where you are required to think out of the box if thats outside of your realm we apologize be blessed. we service all people of all backgrounds and color it wasnt a choice of management to hang the sign but the choice of the artists that come from all different backgrounds and races. we are in the south the only person who would acknowledge this sign as racist are the only people who think that way. we are one at pretty-n-ink. i do find it amusing of all the reviews only Amber Falls is negative and all different kinds of customers commented even white its sad that someone always has to bring negativity to things that God is blessing so greatly!

I am a fan of Dutchess and her show. I went to her shop for a consultation this week and noticed a sign that read "colored waiting room". Needless to say that is very raciest and not very welcoming to people outside of her race. I was very disappointed. If you are white or any other race please consider another tattoo shop. There are many in the city with artist that are very talented. To Pretty in Ink, if you are looking for business outside of the black community it would be professional to remove the sign. Not to mention the person answering the phone is not very welcoming with a slight attitude. The artist that were in the shop were very professional with the exception of the girl, Shawna. Pretty in Ink is poorly managed. I feel sorry for the artist at this shop. If you are looking for a good quality tattoo by a company that isnt run by racist management look outside of this location.

DONT COME HERE!! If you want a over priced tattoo for something worse then a tatt you can get in a trailer park please come here! This shop is a joke. The atmosphere is horrible, the employees are rude, and the tattoos are basic. My homies got some work done here and it looks like a first grader colored it. A day later the line work blended together and looks like a huge blob on ones arm. Honestly these people who gave it a good review must be paid, friends, family or literally have no idea of what a good tatto is. If you want a tattoo that looks like you did yourself please stop by this place., who ever the boss man who runs this joke, should go take a look at a good tattoo shop around the corner. EVERYONE GO TO KRAZY KATS OR BLACK CLOUD IF YOU WANT WORK!!!!

I was going through reviews because i am looking for a good tattoo shop to do a cover up. I came across Amber Falls review and just felt compelled to respond. I am Native American and just wonder why you feel so offended by the sign .... Colored waiting area ( or to that effect).... ? That is part of history and im sure its there to represent that its part of history and the fight that was fought for the right to be treated as human beings. To me that sign symbolizes freedom and i am quite happy to hear they have that sign there as it symbolizes strength and freedom. Amber Falls sorry to hear that the sign offends you for some strange reason. So besides that i was wondering if this place does cover ups over an existing tattoo such as over a name?

Best experience EVER in a tattoo shop/art studio is what it is really! Best atmosphere you could want or ask for whether its your first one or your last one! Everyone is super cool and welcoming! And trust me when I tell you a REAL artist cares what they put on you! And @pretty n ink they take your vision and turn it into something beyond what you ever would have imagined! And this is from someone whos never left a review for nothing besides a late pizza delivery! Pretty in ink is more than a tattoo studio! Your fooling yourself thinking you can walk in anywhere and come out with art! Give them a call! It dont matter who you schedule! Of course the dutchess and ceasar are in the building! Along with shawna the ink queen

Horrible experience!! The entire establishment is unprofessional and rude..they act very arrogant & entitled because they are in tv but the fact is the shop stays empty ... I bet you if y go for a visit it will be empty... just ratchet lazy staff who do nothin & feel entitled and arrogant bc their shop is on tv... for the publicity and fame from the tv show you would think their shop would be booked but they are not... staff is rude ghetto and condescending,go anywhere else other than this place... the experience is horrible and Dustchess does not care, neither do the artis... not worth the money.. Dont believe the hype!!! And the tattoo artist cannot draw only copy and paste... horrible and over priced

Big fan and I havent been there yet but I did call there twice like 20 minutes ago about getting a portrait and getting a cover up and the first lady sounded so sweet and nice but the second girl that answered sounded like shes got a bad attitude but that does not necessarily mean that she has one but when someone tells you thank you its only right to say youre welcome and before I drive almost two hours away just for a tattoo I would really want to feel like my long drive is appreciated but with that being said I will be taking that trip cause I have 39 tattoos and I need some real art and I feel like theres no better place..for the people with negative comments..STOP HATING
