So, this is pretty much the only liquor store I go to and not just because of its convenient location. Only liquor store I know of that is open till 9pm on a SUNDAY. The owner Joe and his son Joe are both knowledgable and very friendly. I got to know their names by the second time I went there. The real reason I love this place is because there was a Liquor called Coldcock that I couldnt find any where and when I asked if they had it, Joe Sr. told me he hadnt heard of it before. He asked me what it was like and he told me, Ill order it for you. This was the first time I had gone so I brushed it off as something you tell to placate a customer. Next time I went there for a totally different reason, I looked on the shelves and they really had ordered Coldcock. And they continue to order it :) Great place and great value.

So i had a dinner to attend and had no idea what kind of wine to get...nothing too fancy but nothing to cheesy. I was completely lost. Joe Jr. took the time to get some info from me and did a great job at pairing the right wine with what we are having that evening. The prices have always seemed to be the best regardless of where Ive gone - I cant imagine going to another store again. Theyve definitely earned my business and I will recommend them to anyone looking for the right drink at the right price!

I want to let all my friends and family who enjoy a nice wine or an alcoholic beverage, this is the best place to purchase these items. As a small business, you get personal service friendly service. They have been in business for 46 years and in my opinion have been doing everything right. If there is something special you want or need, they make every effort to get it for you. Support our small business, where you feel like a real person, not just somebody with cash in their hands!!

Convenient location owned and operated by father and son. Hours are longer than other local liquor stores and prices are competitive. The service is outstanding with a family friendly feel. We asked about a particular wine they didnt have. Not only did they order our favorite wine of choice but their price was lower than others. If they dont have what youre looking for just let them know.. Gates Liquor is now our ONLY preference. I would highly recommend going there.

Every time I go into this store I get the best service. Joe always have thever best prices in area and selection is fantastic too. It really says something when a small business takes the time to know their customers too. You can tell that they value each and every customers business and their honesty, professionalism and how genuinely pleasant they are. Keep up the amazing job Joe!!!

Great convenient location. Big enough to carry all the name brand liquors and wines. Helpful staff with the knowledge of what each wine is and how it matches up to my likes. Owner acknowledged that I bought a specific wine frequently and ordered the 1.5 liter size along with the 750ml bottle. One of the best store hours around open late on Sundays and even a few hours on holidays.

Gates liquor is an awesome store! Excellent selection of wine and liquor. Joe Jr. and the staff there go out of their way, above and beyond normal customer service. I personally had a few special orders/requests that they had to order and called me as soon as it arrived for pick up. Again, Excellent and highly recommended!

Great customer service!! Im always greeted with a smile and a good conversation. For a smaller liquor store they have a great selection of wine and spirits! The staff is knowledgeable when it comes to wine and meal pairings. Something I have found not to be true with bigger liquor stores

This store might be small in size, but it has a good size selection of wines and liquors at all times. Both father and son are always happy to help and answer questions. They know the neighborhood well and fit right in. I never hesitate to make that my one stop liquor store.

Very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to accommodate my requests if they dont stock something. They have very competitive prices even compared to the large chain liquor stores. No need to go anywhere else especially if you are on the west side!
