Avoid the service dept . Took my under warranty 2013 Mustang to their mechanics due to loss of power to the steering when driving and had to leave it there as they were busy only to be told the next day that the issue was due to incorrect rear tire size. They couldnt explain how an incorrect tire size affected loss of power to the electric power steering but backed up their statement saying codes from the car said so. And Ford also said so etc etc My car comes with a standard staggered summer tire set up. In the winter I switch to winter tires and run a square set up but never had an issue since December 2012 until November 2014. On their advice I paid to have the original Pzero tires put back on, only to have the same issue. Complete loss of steering when driving which was life threatening. This time instead of towing the car to Pleasantville ford, I looked up the issue on the mustang forums and it turned out to be a loose steering ground wire which I tightened myself and have never had any problems since. How a Ford certified mechanic can overlook this is just amazing. Further to this, recently I noticed something not right with my rear differential and when I called to have the car towed to their shop, I was told by the man at the service desk quite blatantly to not bring my car there as "Ford probably has a file under my VIN and will deny all warranty claims." Needless to say I went to another Ford dealership and had it fixed under warranty by competent people.

BEWARE THIS DEALER!!! MAKE SURE THEY DO THE WORK THEY PROMISE. This dealer is incredibly convenient but having read the other three reviews I was worried about the quality of service. So, having made an appointment to take the car in for basic service (oil change, tire rotation etc) I decided Id mark the back tires, to ensure that they actually did the rotation. I took the car and left it. Upon my return, I checked the markings Id made on the two back tires. They were still there, exactly as Id left them. Clearly the tires had not been rotated. I went in, asked if the car was ready "Yup" came the answer. "Tires rotated?" I asked. "Yup" said the service manager. "No, they werent." was my reply. I then told him Id marked the tires and they most certainly hadnt been rotated. He went and made a big production of looking at the tires, found the markings and had no defense. So he sent out the mechanic, and I told him the same thing. He said, "Want me to rotate them now?" I declined. The now hugely flustered service manager took $5 off the invoice. I told him theyd lost me as a customer. I dont like being told something thats not true and Id like to think the businesses I deal with are honest. Which doesnt seem to be the case here.

Bought a used Ford explorer there. Noticed it was leaking oil after about 2 weeks. Brought it back to dealer, they looked at it and said it wasnt leaking. I said ok, drove for another 2-3 weeks oil light came on again. This time they said it was the oil light that was broken. I said ok. Drove another 2 -3 weeks, oil light on again. They said it Is leaking oil and said take us to court, theyre not going to fix it.My mechanic looked at it and said although it was leaking oil at a clip of 1-2 quarts every 6 weeks I could drive it but would have to monitor the oil level. He said where the leak was would cost 600-700 to fix. So in a nutshell, pleasantville Ford will not fix a used car you buy off them if it will cost alot. My redemption has been stopping others from buying cars from them. One person I knew was actually in the showroom when I was arguing with them and was going to buy a car but decided not to.

I purchased a used 2000 Jeep Wrangler here with 35,000 miles for $10,000. Being the young naive car virgin I was I didnt look underneath the truck. Unfortunately the truck was a lemon. A few months after I purchased the Jeep, the frame fell apart. Ive had to have half of the frame replaced costing me $1500. All four of the wheels rotted out and leaked. The gas tank skid plate rotted off. The rotors were rotten. The water pump and gear box leaked needing replacement. The pistons misfire. A brake line rotted out. Now another part of the frame needs welding. The third weld job! Make sure you get any used car checked out before you purchase. They promised me It was in good shape and clearly it wasnt. I have only put 15000 miles on the truck and ive already had all these problems. Good Luck.

Put a deposit on a used VW, then rejected the vehicle after inspection. The dealership is balking at returning the deposit. You can see from other reviews that I am not the first person to have trouble getting a refundable deposit returned from this dealer. Never mind that the vehicle itself was dog, presented as serviceable car but clearly not as described in car fax or by the salesman, Andy. I have never encountered a car dealer who has stalled on refunding a deposit, and that refuses to answer phone calls. Next step will be small claims court. It is not that $200 is going to change the world, but there are certain ethical principles that are clearly being violated by business practices at this dealership.

How this place stays in business is amazing. I purchased our car at Mahopac Ford a 5 star operation. This place is a joke as you can see by the reviews. The final insult is the dirt parking lot with moon craters. I will never buy another Ford product again we have had stupid stuff go wrong with our 2012 Ford Edge that is the injury the insult is having to deal with the service department. I will say the young service manager is a delight the older guy should get a job as night watchman he should never talk to another human. The mechanics are very good have always had good results. Also I had to press one star or otherwise I could not post.

Pleasantville Ford is not so Pleasant As you drive up to Pleasantville Ford you can immediately tell that it’s an older dealership. The waiting room consists of 4 chairs and is small and uncomfortable. The dealership doesn’t offer drop off and pick up service, however, they will pull a technician off of the floor to drop a customer off. They may be leaving lucrative business on the table by not stepping up their customer service game, especially with all the office parks in the area.

Think of what service departments were like in the 1980s. If you do not recall just go to the Pleasantville location. With that said if you can deal will their inefficient process, lack of in stock inventory for repairs and lack of a loaner car offering then they are a reasonable choice. They are nice people who do appear to know what they are doing. They just have to do it without updated service equipment.

I go here to get my Ford serviced. Let me say: best customer service ever! They are patient and knowledgeable. They treated me like family. Very veteran friendly, female friendly and overall good natured. Their hospitality and kindness during my wait was above and beyond. Their laid back and not pushy at all. That is such a relief! I highly recommend this dealership!!
