Aldi has become one of my most crutial assets in food shopping. Prices are always considerably lower than the grocery store national chains and quality has steadily improved as the years have passed. This quirky but utilitarian grocers has everything a modern American family would need but dont expect to find a huge selection of variety for each item. Aldi seems to have efficientized the grocery shop by recognizing the staples and producing their own store brand generic version of it to sell without stocking several versions of the same product. Take for example cereal- Aldi will sell maybe 10 varieties of the most popular varieties in their own brand but dont expect to find multiple sizes and brand selections- thats where youre money savings comes in. The last 10 years have seen some significant improvement in terms of quality of each product. It is quite obvious to those who pay attention that Aldi has relentlessly tested each generic they offer to ensure its a good product and when stand behind their product with a double guarantee (money back plus new product replacement- no questions asked) Some things to consider: You will need to bring your own bags as they do not supply free bags. This saves money for both the company and the customer but also is an environmentally responsible move to encourage reuse and not waste. Customers can also utilize boxes available free in the store to haul their foodstuffs home- or purchase bags at the till. Shopping carts are "rented" by means of 25¢ deposit that youll receive back upon returning the cart to the queue in the front of the store outside. This saves the parking lot from being cluttered with carts left by lazy patrons and keeps the carts in good working order. Coupons are not accepted at Aldi. Check that your preffered payment choice is accepted before shopping. Some may not accept debit cards or other forms. The attractive pricing sometimes attracts the sort of patrons that are of a less than charming personality. This is not a huge issue in my local Aldi, but in other stores Ive visited, I wished I exercised the 2nd amendments rights for my own protection. Queue lines are sometimes a bit lengthy- minimal employees saves money but can also lead to somewhat Lengthy wait times. Ironically, with only 1 or 2 cashiers, the wait is still less than my local wal mart.

This location is always full. Many people depend on getting most of their food products from here. I have shopped at another Aldi close by. Nothing compares to the staff at the kingston location. On this day I had the cashier named Lani. She was exceptional courteous and beyond what a normal casher would do. All though the lines were busy she still made shopping fun. We all tend to lose our patience while standing in line. Lani was able to make this wait fun and calmed down all who were waiting. 5 stars to Lani! will HIGHLY recommend if she is working to go to her line, no matter how long it is. You will definitely leave with a smile! THANK YOU Lani for making my day and many others. Great job!!!

I absolutely LOVE Aldi. Their organic products rival any other store, as do their non-organic products. The employees are always friendly and quick, and even when the lines get long they still get everyone checked out quickly and efficiently. Some people feel weird and put-off by how cheap everything is, but COME ON! Organic baby Arugula for $2.49?! It costs $3.99 at Stop and Shop! Although you cant always get everything you need there, it is definitely worth it to make it a weekly stop. I always take my list to Aldi first and if I cant find everything on it at Aldi I hop over to Shop Rite and finish up. I cut my weekly grocery bill in HALF by shopping at Aldi, and i recommend it to EVERYONE!

Aldi is an excellent grocery store. They have excellent prices on excellent products. Most of the products they sell have no high fructose corn syrup or no synthetic colors, which is important to me as a parent. Also, they have a lot of authentic European items, such as their cheeses and sausages that are just awesome. They keep prices down by allowing the consumer to bag and/or box their own items, which is also great for the environment by reducing plastic bag waste.

This place is clean, free of clutter, and has a great selection. I started shopping here because of the prices, but Im really pleased with the quality of their produce and the variety of foods and items they sell. Remember to bring a quarter for the shopping cart and bags to carry out your groceries!

Bare bones kind of store. I would check where the vegetables and fruit come from. Garlic I looked at was from China, so I didnt buy it. They do have neat weekly deals. Bring your own bags and a quarter to use a cart. Oh, and dont forget cash or debit(credit) card-No checks

Some products are great prices and I love that they carry cereal without Red Dye 40 and I dont have to pay $4.00 a box to be normal. Friendly service and my cashier ( wish I had her name!) was in good a mood and was smiling.

Off-brand / store brand products that you have to bag yourself and carts for a deposit - it breaks the norm for supermarkets in this area, but it provides (generally) decent quality products at (generally) reasonable prices.

This is the only corporate grocery chain I know of thats just seriously 10/10 good. Its awesome that we even have one in the Hudson Valley. If youve never shopped here, youre wasting money and time at other grocery stores.

Probably one of the best, interesting and affordable markets around. Aldis has a wide and eclectic selection of amazingly priced groceries. They also carry some of the most interesting high quality seasonal items.

Aldi can get crowded on weekends, but the trip is well worth it for a good selection of essentials at lower prices than the other grocery stores. Bring a cart quarter and your own bags.
