Where to start... well first "the ledyard mall", as locals refer to it as, is a big part of its community, has a lot of historical significance. Well few pros and cons to this... mainly that the decor has to stay the same. I mean this place is pretty rough, very small with awkward single file rows, and they use lots of small rugs to cover up the decaying floor. But again you get this old fashion country side feel that never will experience at sunoco or other franchise. As far as the goods. Amazing selection for out in middle of no where. But everything is very very expensive, and also lots of past due items, LOTS!, so be cautious of that. The fuel is mostly emergency use only, as it is easily the most expensive around. Now the sandwiches is what probably keeps this place in business, almost everyone in town loves them, its where all the farmers go for lunch. But be weary of mayo, if not huge fan, they use a lot!

I have lived in Ithaca area for 13 years, and the best sandwiches in the area are made by Wilcox. These are basic sandwiches done extremely well. I love BLTs, and the bacon is some of best I have ever had on a sandwich (I would also recommend rye for the bread). My son is a burger fan, and he always raves that Wilcox burgers are far better the Five Guys. The egg sandwiches are also very good choices. The other reviewer is right, there is generally lots of mayo. You can also order light mayo.

Always have what I am looking for from bullets to baking soda to baby food. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I didnt find the price to be to high and the sandwiches are excellent. Heard about the sandwiches from three different people. Very happy to have this store around. I look forward to sitting on the benches out front this summer and having some ice tea while we watch traffic go by.
