I simply do not have enough kind words to say about Joy and ELEGANT DESIGNS BY JOY. From start to finish Joy took to heart my vision and made it come true. I have recommended her to everyone I know and will continue to seek out her services for all future events. Our Wedding was on Friday, Oct 23, 2015 at Stonebridge Golf and Country Club. It was a gorgeous Autumn day that was further accented by the beautiful pieces Joy created. The theme of our wedding was "books and love stories". My bouquet had book page roses dotted through with gold babys breath and "free spirit" roses. It was exactly what I had been envisioning all along and when I saw it come to life... I teared up. My girls wore dark plum gowns and the bouquets Joy created with sunflowers and autumn blooms in yellows, oranges, and purples just popped in every photo. The girls were obsessed with their bouquets and with good reason, not only were they absolutely gorgeous but they were light weight enough for them to be comfortable holding throughout pictures and the ceremony. My bridesmen and groomsmen had the most unusual and ornate boutonnieres that incorporated fiddle-head ferns, and the groom had a book page rose incorporated into his design. The ceremony took place in an altar covered in blooms and the reception/cocktail area were also full of gorgeous, lush and beautiful flowers in an amazing variety of shades. I absolutely loved the use of hydrangeas within our centerpieces as they have long been a favorite of mine! It seemed that within every decision and every detail Joy had my best interests in mind and stayed completely true to the vision I had. Every guest noticed and appreciated the beauty of it all. I cannot thank Joy and her team enough for all that they did to ensure I had a perfect day! I could not be happier!

When I was planing my wedding, I had no idea that I cared so much about flowers. However, I ended up meeting with 6 different florists. Once I met with Joy, I knew that she was exactly what I was looking for. From our initial consultation up until my wedding, Joy was nothing but amazing to work with. I was not able to exactly describe the vision that I wanted, and Joy was able to talk to me, get to know me, and envision the ideas that I had in my head. She is so kind, and you can truly see that she takes such pride in her work, and cares so deeply about her clients. My wedding flowers were STUNNING. Everything I could have hoped for and more. I never could have asked for anything better. Everyone absolutely loved my flowers, and we are still receiving complements on how gorgeous my bouquet ,the girls bouquets, and all our centerpieces were. I am having my bouquet preserved so that I can always have it, to be reminded of my wedding day, and how amazing it was. Joy also was able to beat the price of every other florist I looked at, and her quality was excellent. I hope to use her for events in the future. If you are looking for a florist on Long Island, Elegant Designs by Joy is where you need to go!

I could not think of enough words to describe how AMAZING our experience with Elegant Designs by Joy was. We came to Joy after we were put off by a few other local florists and could not be more thankful that we stumbled into her shop. We did not have an appointment but Joy still managed to take time out of her busy day to sit with us and help us visualize what we wanted our arrangements to look like. She was able to take our scattered vision and turn it into truly beautiful pieces of art. She offered suggestions that allowed us to still get what we wanted, all while remaining within our budget. I can go on and on about Joys work because it exceeded all of our expectations and made our day even more special but what honestly made this planning process enjoyable and comforting was Joys calming, caring, creative, friendly disposition. She made it so easy to express our ideas and to make us feel like we were the only customers she had, even though she was SWAMPED! She made us feel like we were family. Choosing Elegant Designs by Joy might have been the best vendor decision we made through our entire planning process. If you use Joy, you will not be disappointed!

The second I started using Joy as my florist I just knew she was talented beyond words. Her work is unique and incredible and her arrangements are a display of her creative gift. When you walk into her charming shop full of gifts and beautiful vintage pieces you know that you are going to get a piece of art. I frequently stop to get flower arraignments for family and friends or centerpiece for holidays and she has never failed to provide amazing work. Ryan often stops to bring me home surprise bouquets of flowers from Joy and because she knows what I love each one is absolutely gorgeous and I know she put her heart and thought into each one. She is the only florist I will use and recommend her to everyone. I am excited to work with her for our wedding and cant wait to see how she transforms the venue. Upon the first meeting with joy she and I had an instant artistic connection, Joy didn’t make me look though dozens of books or bring in pictures. I told her my inspirations and she immediately started to grab flowers to put together a ruff floral arrangement. Joy not only has fantastic artist capabilities and excellent taste she uses unique and high quality flowers. The colors and textures of my bouquet and centerpieces amazed my guest. My sister in law has a centerpiece on her dining room table 10 days after our wedding. She also did a wonderful job of decorating my cake, which actually came in incorrectly from the bakery, but Joy did such a wonderful job of decorating it I didn’t even care about the incorrect cake by that point. I truly had a wonderful experience working with Joy!

I recently hired elegant designs to do my centerpieces for my daughters sweet 16, and I must say, ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! the quality of the flowers are spectacular, Joy(the owner) is such a creative lovely lady, along with her help (Karen). I went in there not knowing what to get, and all I had was the color of the dress, and she just blew my mind away, I brought in a swatch and told her what my daughter liked and she knew exactly what to do. I then brought my daughter in for the sample and she got so emotional and couldnt believe how perfect it was, it was exactly what she loved! these ladies are wonderful, and not to mention the store! absolutely unique, fun, and classy store! definitely check them out! I cannot wait to throw another party and work with them again!

Joy was so amazing to work with from the first time I stepped foot in her store to our wedding day. She is so enthusiastic about her work and you can tell she truly loves what she does. I showed her pictures and shared my ideas with her and she helped to make our wedding day even better than I imagined. She was so willing to work within out budget, I was shocked at how beautiful the centerpieces were, talk about bang for your buck. Our day would not have been complete without her, our guests were all begging to take home a centerpiece because they were so gorgeous.
