I am prescribed both Suboxone and Lexapro by my doctor for 5 years now. The Lexapro isnt all that dangerous if I dont have it immediately when my prescription runs out, but without the Suboxone I go into terrible withdrawals and have very bad seizures. The CVS pharmacy in Sparta has only gotten my prescription for the Suboxone correct 8 times out of the 40 or 50 times Ive been there to pick it up. They either dont have any in stock (even though they know I come in every month for 60 2mg strips), dont have enough in stock, or tell me they do have enough, but give me only a fraction of my prescription with no explanation. I even had to get the police involved one time when I was only given 56 strips out of the 60. The problem is incompetent employees and extremely high volume. Sparta has the busiest pharmacy Ive ever seen and the employee turnover is absolutely nuts. Ive almost never had the same pharmacist twice! That, combined with the volume leads to sloppy execution of very important things. I will need to be hospitalized if I cant get my Suboxone when I need it, but they dont care enough to simply do it correctly the first time. Ive given them many, many chances and have switched to the CVS in Stanhope (much better!). The problem, though, is that Stanhope isnt open 24 hours and are closed on holidays. I had to go back to Sparta when I needed my prescription on the 4th of July. Well, true to form, they messed it up horribly. My doctor wrote me a prescription for 60 2mg strips of Suboxone to be refilled once. The pharmacist didnt enter the refill into the computer, so now Im out of luck. My doctor isnt in his office over the weekend, so theres nobody to help me. Now Im left to suffer the consequences of this horrible pharmacy again and will probably wind up spending close to $1,000.00 on a hospital visit simply because they couldnt get their act together. I recommend that the Sparta CVS be avoided like the plague. Go to Stanhope where the pharmacists are knowledgeable, kind, and punctual instead of slow, inexperienced, and uncaring.

In reading the reviews and totally agreeing with the negative ratings, I want to advise people there is another pharmacy to consider. I found it when CVS told us for the second time in a year that they were out of my husbands medication when I went to pick up a refill. If they know someone is on a med long term I would expect them to take inventory and have that available. When I mentioned that to the tech, who did not seem at all sympathetic to the quandry it placed my husband in, he explained that it was a corporate policy as to how they receive their stock. They could not request it & the next stock would not be for weeks! He offered no solution to solve the problem. I tried North Country Pharmacy, close by on 517 in Franklin, not at all expecting them to be able to help so quickly, based on how CVS handled the medication. Not only did they have the medication, they took care of the insurance and when I told them I would transfer all my scripts except that CVS was giving a discount on two scrips not covered by ins, they told me and held to it that they could provide a better price. I was skeptical but they offered the prescription for $25 when CVS was charging close to $90. North Country refills prescriptions based on patients history so I dont have to remember to call & when I go in they are ready. The pharmacist quickly follows up with physicians and when recently my doc called in a very high priced med (with insurance) they called to advise me before I even left the doctors building & offered to provide a lower cost until my deductible was met. They are a caring, community pharmacy. They know you by name and treat you as if your health matters to them. Stay away from CVS & help keep a great local pharmacy that provides great service in business.

CVS opening in Franklin--go there, forget this place! I wrote the below review 10months ago... it is still accurate. Workers lie to cover up their mistakes. Horrible... workers are incompetent and so slow. Prescriptions never go smoothly. Always told 20mins, then it turns into 45-60mins. A lot of fun with young, sick children in the car. Disgraceful, I hope someone else takes over this place. I would rather drag 3 sick kids out of the car and into Walmart than the "convenience" of this garbage drive thru service. At least Walmart doesnt make errors and when they say 20mins, it means 20mins. If anyone other than Cheryl or Michelle is there, go somewhere else!!

They are thieves. I have no insurance. I pay cash. I recently filled 2 prescriptions at CVS - Sparta. The first one was for 30 tabs of finasteride 5mg for which they charged me $59.92 and the second was for 40 clonazepam 2mg which they charged me $25.68. Total for both = $85.60. I just came up for renewal and decided to price check them at the nearest Shop-Rite Pharmacy... Results - 30 finasteride 5mg (same brand) was $13.39 and 40 clonazepam 2 mg (same brand) was $11.72 for a grand total of $25.11. A savings of $60.49. I will NEVER return to CVS again. As I stated at the beginning. "They are thieves." I would give them Negative Stars if possible.

If I could give them zero stars I would. They are all completely incompetent and should really not be handling peoples medications. They messsd up my prescription and told me I had no refills left when my scrips was good for several more months, come to find out they transferred my script out and cannot transfer it back in by state law. So somehow its my fault because they messed up. Absolutely the worst people Ive ever dealt with and I am 100% taking my new prescription elsewhere because I dont trust them nor do I want to deal with them ever again. Absolutely horrible place.

Very disappointed. Went to fill prescription after being discharged from hospital. New hours. Guess what, pharmacy isnt open 24 hours anymore. They call me constantly for refills for prescriptions I dont need or take anymore and no notification about hours changing. Never going there again for anything. Too bad. It was convenient, but no point anymore, especially after having to go there to find out the change in hours and service.

Absolutely Nasty Pharmacy Employees. Just straight up rude. I come in early in hopes to be ok in less than 30 minutes and no one is around the pharmacy department. Not a soul. I say Im gonna wait and she rudely says its gonna be 45 minutes! How is that humanly possible as No One was waiting in front of me or behind me? Theyre miserable employees and they shouldnt take it out of the customers!

Gosh! What dreadful reviews. I, on the other hand, have had good luck. As an out-of-towner from Vermont, these folks have contacted my doctor when a prescription has run out (several times with different ones) and have been just fine. In fact, I am getting a new one sent by me doctor today (December 20). As an elderly person who lived in Sparta for 38 years, I have no problem with their service.
