Carols August 21, 2010 review could not be any more accurate! When dealing with the on-site manager, the manager made a number of abusive statements and gestures to my wife. First, when discussing the color of a rug, the manager said "I hope we do not live near each other so I do not have to deal with you." Then when discussing whether a leg on a leather chair was crooked, the manager threw a tape measure down at her feet in an abusive manner and told her to measure the chair herself. All of this was unprovoked and left my wife extremely curious as to what the problem with him was. She then spoke to another salesperson who told her that indeed, this man was the manager! Doubtless, a person like this has probably had numerous issues with his employees and other customers. We cannot understand how this store store lets someone like this work there, let alone manage. My wife is shaken by this experience. UPDATE: Another store manager called and apologized and was clearly embarrassed by the situation. Seems like one bad apple in an otherwise really good store. The apology was a nice gesture and appreciated.

This Home Goods is generally pretty quiet. It is well stocked in decor, lighting, bath and kitchen supplies. They have a great selection of gourmet food and baking mixes, which are great additions to any kitchen-based gift. I have found great deals on large vases and decorative glassware here. At Home Goods, I have paid +/- $30, where Id be paying around double at other decor competitors like Pier1. The items can get beat up, give everything in your basket a once-over before purchasing.

Home Goods is a great store and as an interior designer, I am there almost every other week, making the rounds of the three stores in my area. At times, however, I have had interaction with the manager of the Parsippany store and have found him to be rude and totally lacking in customer service. All of the other staff (cashiers, etc.) are very pleasant, but apparently he hasnt gone through the same customer service training program that they have!! Perhaps its time he did!!
