The Garden State Plaza is a decent mid-size mall; working on adding stores and the current store roster is better than average featuring a Uniqlo, new format ATT store and a relatively unique Northface store with major anchors Marys; Lord & Taylor and JC Penny. Its a good one stop location with Apple, Microsoft and Best Buy. The exceptional Legal Seafood leads the meal options, with some of the best seafood anywhere. Surrounding the mall are a nearby outlet / branded discount fashion mall and Ikea. There is a reasonable amount of parking which in typical mall method may require driving around to find open spots on busy days. Its close to Northern NYC and if you have access to a car easier to get to than many midtown or downtown stores of the same brands in the city. The Wesfield website is updated and makes navigation relatively easy although I did switch to Google maps to find general store locations; there is in mall wifi, which is fast enough to navigate but not video speed or bandwidth. Challenges are the required U-turns on 17, suburban NJ traffic and the sprawling mall layout. Map your bathroom stops as there are few locations that are spreadout. More directional and interactive kiosks would be helpful.

Garden State Plaza is my absolute favorite mall. If your looking for it, theyve got it. This mall has every store you could possibly think of. From high end to more reasonably priced stores. That goes for the food choices as well. The food court has a very wide variety as well as the restaurants inside and outside on the malls property. I have been going to this mall for twenty years, and there is not a better one in New Jersey. I recommend this mall to everyone I know. And those who live outside of the state of New Jersey always speak very highly of the mall and seem to have found this mall as their favorite as well after spending the day there. I never write reviews but this place has been good to me for a long time and I thought Id show some love back to it.But all in all, This mall is a definite must visit if you havent been and I can assure you that you will not be sorry!

Visiting this Mall for more than 14 years is one of my favorite. Lately rules have changed, I am a bit disappointed with the pets policy. I am a animal lover I even rescue animals from the street and found house for them. But I strongly believe everyone on its own place. The Mall are allowing people to bring pets and no everyone is carefully, while inside they accidentaly do their necesites on floor, of course they wont ask to be taken to the restroom. Some restaurant in the Mall are also allowing pets on the table. Be mindful that some kids and adult as well are very scared to some pets and they cant enjoy the place as they used to. All the way from DOGS to SNAKES and LIZARD. Nothing against animals in general I already said what I have been doing for years. People are too sensitive about comments like this and the best answer they have is

The largest mall in NJ, as far as I know, and theres definitely a lot to do here. Over the last ten years this mall has shifted from a mid-range destination to becoming more high end. The anchor tenants are Macys, J.C. Penney, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus. The mall has been renovated and updated and it looks fantastic. Theres a large AMC movie theater (and theres often test screenings for new movie being done there.) There are plenty of places to eat from although that roster tends to rotate. The biggest complaint is parking. Not that there isnt a massive amount of parking, its trying to find a spot that isnt in No Mans Land. Some of the parking is at least half a mile from the actual mall. Definitely a place worth visiting (I go there religiously for Nespresso and Im delighted theyre finally opening up their own standalone store.)

The mall is really nice looking and it has a LOT of stores, but I didnt personally like it very much overall. For those who are into high end shopping and prefer a lot of luxury stores and clothing stores, then this is the mall for you. Im not very much into that, so I found it less interesting. I would have preferred to see some more quirky stores with things other than clothes, shoes, and handbags. The food court was also a little underwhelming. It is a small space considering how packed this place was on the weekend, and while the offerings were good, I wouldnt have sat down there to eat. Still, I think this mall just caters to a different type of consumer than me, and for those types of people, Im sure this mall is fantastic.

Having been a frequent resident of this mall for over 15 years I have to say it keeps getting better. Its a frequent stop for international visitors so there is an internal currency exchange. It can be an all-day affair with various restaurant offerings like California Pizza Kitchen or Grand Lux Cafe, alongside the AMC Theaters. Cell reception can get a bit frazzled when youre deep in the mall however there are some wi-fi options. There s pretty much everything you could need to spend a day there. Parking, while getting better has always been a problem if youre trying to land close to the entrances during busy seasons. Also! Closed on Sundays. Dont expect that to change anytime soon.

If you have never been here, you are in for a treat and a nightmare. This mall has everything. Stores for everybody. Its big and pleasant to hang out and shop and no tax on wearables. It will get crowded on Saturday because of the Blue Law. Many decent food choice whether you want a sit down resturant or a quick bite. There is a theater also. The problem is the parking. Unless you arrive early, you will spend some time looking to get a spot. This will the most stressful thing once you arrive. Once you found parking, you should head towards a place to eat right away beacause you may have to wait awhile. Your parking space is precious so plant to stay longer.

This is a great mall, beautiful, and stores of every kind, but no barbershop?! Like just a regular barbershop for men? Ive been to many lesser malls and they always have one...the only option is shaves, which is a LUXURY babershop, because Im never going to pay fifty dollars for a regular mens haircut, I understand if people what to do something special for someone, then this place is great, but what about the guys who gets a haircut every month and doesnt have mucho Denaro? Im at this mall often and would love to add getting my hair cut to my shopping, but not at these prices.

GSP has really grown over the years, and it has slowly become a one stop shop with everything from high end boutique stores like Versace to fast-fashion places like Zara and H&M. There are few malls in the area that offer such a wide variety of options regardless of your budget. Tip for those who go on Saturday: Parking is only a nightmare if you try to park right at the front door. The lot right next to rt 4 near the Lord & Taylor entrance is almost always empty. You can easily find a spot right across the street from the parking deck and walk right in.
