I love dollar general.... ⚠️HOWEVER⚠️, I WILL drive 20 minutes out of my way (even though I live up the block from this location) just to shop. THIS dollar general is by far the worst one I have ever been to. If youre planning on quickly running in for a few things - shop elsewhere because it will take you forever just to get to the register. If you have a question as to where something is - shop elsewhere because you wont get any help, its as if its always everyones first day (or the product that you KNOW is in the store, that youve purchased before but just dont know where it is - is miraculously something that "they dont carry" or "theyve never sold before") I think its great that this dollar general hires older / retired people, but even the younger ones are lazy and have an attitude when you ask them for something. The manager is literally the rudest person on earth, its as if just your presence there is annoying. There is ALWAYS A LINE - ALWAYS. And there is NEVER more than one register open. I understand that older people may be slower, but the lack of customer service on top of the fact that the younger people that work there are near the register just gossiping while theres 7+ people in line - theres no excuse. Id rather drive to the Dollar General 25 minutes away or go to the Dollar Tree one town over than shop here again (Ive given it a few chances, as I live a block away and I figured MAYBE those few times they were just busy or short staffed, but no.. ) Also, I started writing this review while standing in line - and theres still 4 people ahead of me.. all while the manager is a few steps away and theres 2 other employees talking about snapchat nearby. People behind me are complaining and the woman in front of me says "its always like this" So Im AMAZED that this place has so many good reviews? Worst possible service ever.

I just. Had the most rude experience in my life while shopping in this store my daughter notified me that we were being followed in this store I stop here every now and then and I work in retail so i know how you should approach and react if you suspect customers stealing. I have never stolen anything in my life ! I have too much integrity for that! So I almost assume they were following us because we are black! I will not be shopping here anymore and I will let people know about my experience here!

I love this store because its convenient and it saves me alot of money in product. Vitamins, hair products, socks, flip flops and groceries. I like to go here when I dont want to deal with the Walmart crowd. Youre in and out over here..as opposed to wandering a huge discount store. Plus their home decor section has a really cute selection.

I shop here very often because I like their products and prices. The management at this store is very poor. There is always a long line and not enough cashiers, especially on the weekends. If someone from management would address the lack of cashiers then this review would be a 5

Ive been coming here for about 4 years and have never had a complaint. However, today the bathrooms were very dirty, prices were a little high and the lines were long as slow moving. Not sure what is going on but they need to tighten it up.

They have everything; but not at $1 , come on! Where can you get a shower rod for $ 3.99 ? Start at $10.99 at Home Depot for the same thing. Generally speaking, lots of $1 items.
