Until the Whole Food opens, this is the closest grocery store from Downtown Metuchen. It is smaller in size than the ShopRite or Stop & Shop further South on Rt. 1. Despite its smaller size, I really like Super Fresh for the following reasons: - Fresh selection of fruits & veggies. They even carried exotic fruits such as star-fruit, guava and figs. The veggies were all fresh as well. - Low prices. For its grand opening, it was $2.99 for a watermelon, $1.88 for ribs, and $1 for 2 dozens of eggs. Cant beat their prices. - The store appears very clean & orderly. - Great selection of sushi even in the evening! - Nice selection of ethnic foods. Far better than ShopRites offerings. I took off one star since the Deli was not open when we went on a Sunday night after dinner. They also have less variety of cold cuts than ShopRite.

This place has a "going out of business" vibe to it. It was understaffed, different counters inside have separate closing and opening hours, two-three isles have been closed off completely and the shelves werent well stocked. Produce selection was great lots of random things you dont normally see like raw yucca and coco.

Did not want to give it any stars, this place should be closed! Bought boxed Kraft Deluxe Mac and cheese there today. It Expired August 16th never again! You take your life in your hands shopping in that store! The meat in the case even looked Grey! Good luck shoppers never again for me!

Got rotten chicken three different times, smell was horrendous, took it back last time never going again, 3 strikes they are out. note the dates on chicken were good but meat rancid, a lot of dairy on shelves out of date have to be very careful.

Not crazy about this place rather drive out to other super market. I purchased wings to make regular chicken soup and for some reason wings turned dark!! With a disliking after taste bad bad bad !! Threw away soup just cant go there again.

First time buy milk. Its soooo expensive $4.99. This will be the last trip to this store.. I have asked cashier, "Do you buy food from here, she said NO". Thats it..

The produce is fantastic. The also have a huge variety of organic and natural food items. This is my new place to get healthy foods without being super expensive.

The produce here is very good, and the deli meats are delicious. The packaged goods are more expensive than other stores. Their prepared foods are great, too.
