As a person of czech descent, I was excited to hear about a kolache store here in vegas. But, when I get here, they dont even sell kolaches! In fact, the OWNER DOESNT EVEN KNOW WHAT A REAL KOLACHE IS!!!!! and when I tried to tell him what a kolache is, (open faced, fruit topped), he said that wasnt a kolache. I understand this is just food, but what kind of sick, profiteering @$$hat would lie about pastries just to sell more? You, sir, and all of your employees who let this happen, are douchebags, and I hope you get shut down, unless you treat the name kolache with respect and actually start serving some. If I had the money, Id open a real one next door and shut your @$$ down within a week. Shame on you, you manipulative little liar. Btw, I say this for one reason. Pver the past 10 years. Kolaches have moved from a small sect of followers in small texas towns to a country wide movement of delicious breakfast eateries. The word kolache in itself has the power to draw in not only those who love them, but those who have heard and want to experience this native czechoslovakian treat first hand. So when some place doesnt even sell then and still gets away with using the name for marketing purposes, which is exactly what he is doing, it not only ruins the true image of an entire countries gift to breakfast, it is a bold slap in the face to those of czech descent and those pastry chefs who train tirelessly to learn the secrets of the fruit filling, the specially crafted dough which Is NOTHING like pig in the blanket dough. Seriously, poeple, how hard is it to look something up on your phone to find out if you are being lied to? DONT EAT HERE

This place is such a bad donut shop I think the Smoke Shop in the same strip mall thinks its competing as a front for a money laundering outfit. Seriously, how does a business this crappy stay in business. Ive lived in the area for most of the last 15 years, and Ive been here maybe three times. After several years pass I try it again, hoping someone bought the place and is actually making DONUTS and KOLACHES. No. Wrong. Wrong. I didnt see a kolache at 830 am. I did see about 6 or 8 racks of donuts, mostly glazed or variations of glazed, a plain old fashioned, and a few cake and iced cake selections. There were a few token filled, both round and long rectangular. It is essentially the very basic minimum to define a donut shop. I bought a sample of each. The glazed were the best, as they tasted and felt very fresh. The cake and old fashioned were not very appetizing. The oil stuck to the top of my mouth, very gross. The taste was only okay, not very yummy at all. The Smiths in the same parking lot has three times the selection, the oil is not nearly as greasy on the top of my mouth, and I can get all sorts of other yummy stuff like, fruit or yogurt or coffee. Dont get me wrong, Smiths donuts are a 6 or 7 out of 10 for donuts, but KD Donuts are a 5, and considering selection, a 4 or lower. Ill need to see the sign change before I go back to this store. I will continue to drive several miles away from the Green Valley High School and Galleria Mall, away from the Dunkin Donuts which is only okay enough in a pinch. (I give DD donuts a 7, which is fine but Id drive out of my way for a GOOD donut.)

Kolaches are amazing, only flaw would be if someone who spoke English was there to help!!! Had to point at everything I wanted. Yet alone left my Drivers license there,so I called and the phone answered saying kd Doughnuts and I asked if a DL was found on the ground around 30mins ago and all I got was a Wrong Numba bye. So I called again after it rang about 10 times and he got angry and said no one here!.... Uhh okay thanks!! Good food not so good service.

Nice cozy little donut shop. I stopped in once in the afternoon for coffee and a donut, and the second time was in the evening so they were out of coffee, but the guy maybe wanted to go home so he sold me everything in the donut case for $5. Win win.

The Donuts are Tasty... The only thing I would recommend is have someone helping customers that speaks English well. Its frustrating when there is a language barrier between the Donut Shop and the customer.

Super hole in the wall and hands down the best kolaches in Vegas. I highly recommend going. They also have a wall with people and kids hopes and dreams. Super cute, highly amusing.
