And.... again. Really Metro Lighting??? Let me re-post my first review and then I can post my second. Buyer beware... Customer service is nonexistent at this location. After spending $1500 on a single light fixture and then coming back in to lay down another thousand dollars, Nichole, my salesperson, did not even have the common courtesy to call me and let me know that my light fixture had not been ordered because she forgot to charge freight. After over a week of waiting, I called to get a status on my light and they said they could not find order and would call me back. After waiting the rest of the day, I called again only to once again find myself waiting for callback. When the call finally came, I was informed that the light had not been ordered and they would have to charge me freight. Ummm, hello?? Would have been nice to know that information a WEEK AGO. You held up my order, I stand corrected, you IGNORED the order for a $20 freight charge that was your mistake in the first place. I guess thats the kind of service you get when you spend thousands of dollars. Way to go, Metro Lighting. And now were ready for todays review. Two weeks ago, I came in and bought almost $2000 worth of fixtures, ironically using the $100 gift certificate from Bill for my trouble with the last situation. I called today to find out the eta on the order and guess what??? THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED AGAIN!!! You may be asking yourself "ARE YOU SERIOUS??" That answer is yes. After all the apologies from the manager and Bill Frisella personally handing me a gift card, they once again show that their customer service is utter horsesh*t. I wish I could give negative stars. The only reason I gave you one star is so that the review would post.

Great selection, but terrible customer service. When I walked up to the service counter, there were at least four sales staff on their computers, all looked up briefly and attempted to avoid eye contact, then proceeded to ignore my presence. When I finally got one to acknowledge me, she acted as if she had better things to do and I was not worth her time. I simply asked "Where are your outdoor lights?" and I had to ask her multiple times before she finally waved her hand absently, went back to her solitaire game, and without looking at me, she said "in the back...." I could barely understand what she was saying. I left and went to a different Metro Lighting. I encountered the same service. In fact, I couldnt even get anyone to talk to me or help me while in the store for half an hour. It is not worth the trip just to be ignored - its not as if their prices are great. Id rather pay more somewhere else for a smile and friendly service.

I regretfully have to agree with the previous review. Ive, more often than not, had that same experience. In addition, I just called to inquire about having a framing projector (purchased from them) repaired. I practically had to beg to find out if anyone there could direct me to a repair center ("we dont do repairs" "I have no idea who repairs them") without comment, I was transferred to a voicemail. Now I hope my call will be returned.

Salesperson ordered the wrong lights for our home. Took weeks to figure out what went wrong and install the correct light which was defective. Then, over another several weeks, two different service people brought the wrong size replacement and implied I had ordered the wrong size. They seemed annoyed that their time was wasted, but I had to take 3 days off (so far) for service calls. AVOID THEM!!

Worst experience. I have nothing good to say about their service or product. I purchased several items for my house on the Fourth of July sale. Not only did they charge me original prices and not price adjust after my statement was processed. But in addition when items didnt fit in my house, they would not return them. They were rude and unwilling to work with customers on a solution.

I ordered a fixture, and it never arrived from the wholesaler. The manager of the store worked with us to make sure we could select a new fixture that would be in stock within days. He kept us up to date via phone calls and emails to be sure our new order was processed quickly. He was very easy to work with and improved our experience shopping with the store.

I went in looking for lamp shades for two antique lamps and received at best indifferent service, bordering on inconsiderate and rude. What is more, their inventory of lamp shades left a lot to be desired, so I left and went to Brodys and had the polar opposite experience.

Theyve always had access to every bulb and hardware Ive ever needed. Ive used them for 2 different restaurant concepts Ive worked for. And Ive installed a nice lighting sequence over my pool table and Metro helped me over a wiring compatibility issue I had.

Agree with two previous reviews. Parts service is excellent but customer service at the desk is fair at best. It seems obvious the ladies arent interested in walk in customers. I dont appreciate feeling that they are doing me a favor by talking to me.
