The coffee is excellent, and the selection is vast (nitro coffee! with options!). For a cafe, youll be hard pressed to find one with better-tasting food offerings. And did I mention the interior? the best part of all: spacious, with a modern aesthetic & several different seating arrangement. Manages to be sleek yet comfy. Id have to disagree with the opinion below: Chicago only has a handful of cafes that compare to Atomic. I dont find myself longing for anything Id have found elsewhere. (Ive been living in Chicago for ~8 years now, though travel home/to the area frequently.)

Ive visited Atomic 4 times, and every time for the housemade cardamom rose latte. Its that good. The only reason Ive been bummed out 3/4 times is because with the caliber of the machine and atmosphere, I expect the barista to be skilled at latte art. More often than not, I dont get the pretty feathery foam on top. The cafe is modern, white with a vibe thats more fitting of a downtown city than suburb. The crowd consists of millennials working on MacBook and the noise level isnt deafening. I usually find street parking to be easy on weeknights and early mornings.

Pros: 1. Really good coffee, not your Starbucks kinda roast. 2. Really cool atmosphere. You can sit inside, yet, all the windows are open so you can watch the street life. Its very much a millennial kinda place... people with laptops.. I dont care, thats just the atmosphere. 3. Really nice music, think indie. Cons: 1. When I order a short cup of coffee with 2 shots of espresso, I pay full price ($4), unless the owner helps me, because she knows how customize the order in the register. Its not only here, its in many places, I just dont think its fair..

Maybe coffee isnt their thing? Lots of people getting specialty drinks. I ordered a simple hand pour coffee and it tastes burnt and was small and expensive. Those second two were expected. But I thought it would taste better. Tasted like my grandparents Folgers in their 15 year old machine. Lots of seating with good wifi. Too many hipsters, but its Royal oak, so again, thats on me.

Buen sitio para currar, despues de salir de la ofi. Hay wifi; y enchufes debajo de los asientos para cargar el ordenador, y el usb tbn. (A veces hay un poco de postureo.. )

Granted I was disjointed to move back and find my favorite coffee shop had vanished and taken over by a new face. However, I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. To top it if their ice mocha was amazing! Only down part was that they only serve one size in their cold drinks. Would be nice to be able to get a larger size.

Atomic has amazing coffee and the best breakfast sandwiches anywhere. My two favorites are the ham and cheese muffin and the sausage biscuit which come with fruit. The Nitro cold brew is the best cold brew coffee in the area, it is rich, smooth, and not bitter. They also have great lunch options which are all freshly made and taste great.

Somehow managing to marry an almost mid-century inspired decor with the practicality of outlets galore and a wide range of specific but differing spaces, theyve succeeded in raising the bar on the form v. function ideal, embracing both really well. And the coffees great, as well! This place is really something.

A great coffee shop to visit when you are in downtown RO, and their honey vanilla latte is simply too good. I recently goofed up my own order (forgot to ask for my drink to be iced on a 90+ degree day), and Tyler took the time to remake my drink and make everything right. You guys rock.

Out of the few coffee shops in DTRO, I like atomic the best. I like being able to do my work in a calm and steadily busy environment and this place has it. Lots of new faces coming and and out due to it being right in main street , and plenty of tables to get your work done.

Great ambience, music, and people. In the summer it is an airy and happening breakfast spot and in the winter it becomes a cozy oasis from the harsh Michigan winter. This place will work for a quick coffee carry out or perfect for a date. Its kind of pricey but worth it.

Best coffee shop in downtown Royal Oak. They have a very laid back atmosphere with plenty of outlets along the walls to do work and plenty of tables to sit and chat with friends. The drinks are excellent and so is the food. It can get crowded at peak hours though.

High quality coffee drinks and awesome seating areas. Multiple levels, a fireplace, lots of padded seats, and corner views of downtown Royal Oak make this a great place to study - just know that it is often packed and can be hard to get a good seat at times.

Modern and open floor layout that is minimalistic and inviting. Good place to study, and outside seatings for relaxing conversations. Variety of traditional coffees, and for those who want other forms of caffeine there are teas at very affordable prices.

omg thee best cup of coffee I have had in a long time. Good bye Starbucks. Flavoring syrups are hand made (which I thought was very impressive); not to mention the fabulous design of the place. Hands down top 5 coffee shops to visit in Michigan.

Atomic Coffee has a great environment. Makes you feel calm, not too loud, not too crowded. They have good coffee if you like cappuccinos. Friendly staff and decent prices. Definitely a good place to study, work, or hang.

A very chill place to grab more than just a standard cup of coffee. I havent had a single thing here that I didnt like. The Mexican mocha, honey and lavender lattes are so good. And I love the interior. Would recommend.

I dont visit coffee shops often because I drink a variety of hot beverages that I make at home, however, they are a bit pricey, but competitive pricing at its best. Nevertheless, great location and experience.

Its good coffee, but good luck finding a place to sit when everyone and their mother are doing work on their computers. But hey, if youre ok with awkwardly walking around the place 6x then strut yo stuff!

If youre bougie like me, then youll enjoy the cardamom rose latte. The honey bear nitro cold brew is also INCREDIBLE for the summer months. Ample seating, great for studying or meeting with a friend.

I asked for whiped cream on my mocha and all three barristas simultaniously looked at me like I was a barbarian. The coffee was good but the staff are judgmental if your not a coffee purist.

Wonderful service, tasty beverages. I am not sure why my honey vanilla late tastes different every time I order one. Consistency could get you a fifth star, that last star does not come easily.

Love the atmosphere in this little spot. Great for a nice quiet conversation with a few friends or getting some work done. The seating was really nice and the coffee and teas were fantastic.

If you love good coffee, this is your place. Dont worry, its not a pretentious hipster joint. Its cute and easy to work in or pull off a quick business meeting. Best Americano around.

I think of this place as a place for pretentious people but apart from the place being packed for most of the time, it is one of the coolest, if not the coolest cafe on that street.
