I have shopped at Meijer for years. I would love to say all great things about it but heres what I noticed. They do have a very clean store which is one of their main goals. Everyone loves that. Cons are they dont seem to have overnight stockers anymore or very few. I used to shop on Sunday morning when the new ad breaks and the shelves were mostly full. I no longer go on Sunday because the shelves are mostly empty or stockers are trying to fill them. They are notorious now it seems to have what you need one week then not the next time you shop for it. Irritating at best. And the one thing that absolutely repulsed me so much so I never buy meat from the butcher (it blew my mind and I should have reported it to the manager). I was doing my usual Sunday shopping and I think it was the meat manager ( nametag Bob). He was out and about filling the meat counters (with the glass fronts). And when he was done he lifted his leg and closed the glass front with his FOOT! Gross his dirty shoe closed the meat enclosure. I saw that on 2 separate occasions. Filthy dirty shoe. I would have fired him on the spot. Needless to say I buy very little meat from Meijer Im always suspect... Gross.

1st experience with CURBSIDE AND IT IS HORRIBLE!!!! Went on line, added items to my cart and said items would be available to pick up at 9am, which was good because I had breakfast items in my virtual cart. Mid way through, it changed pick up time to 2pm! Which was NOT going to work for me. I called the store 7 times getting transferred, drop calls, etc..before I finally had to demand to speak to the store manager. The store manager said he didnt know enough about curbside to answer my questions. I was then transferred to a curbside employee who said that even though I started building my order at 730am, for a 9 am pick up, that you dont get your spot held until you hit submit, and that there are limits (13 items) (I HAD 15)~ WHICH IS NOT STATED ANYWHERE ON THE WEBSITE~ I was not helped; I was told essentially that I had wasted an hour of my time. CUSTOMER SERVICE THERE IS A JOKE

Automatic door hit me in the face, causing a gash. When I brought it to Managements attention, they and the door greeter minimized the situation. (Basically saying it was my fault) Then I got a phone call from someone who handled the situation very poorly. I know it was because they were afraid of a lawsuit, but I just wanted to warn them so nobody else got hurt. I still shop there, but the greeter who looks like Santa Claus is still there, and it causes me great distress each time I go in. They made me feel like I had done something wrong. And the follow up phone call made me want to sue. (Which I didnt and wont) They dealt with the whole situation very poorly)

Customer service & cashier staff are nice, but the floor staff are not responsive or helpful. The worst is it takes me 3times as long to get through the food side if the store because its always packed with people standing in the main aisles and up the food aisles. When you excuse yourself to get by, they dont move. Ive never seen a store with so many people unwilling to move and seem like theyve all taken the same stupid pill. I feel mean saying that, but go there and youll see what I mean. I now only use curbside if I have to go here and the curbside staff is excellent!

Love Meiers produce. Im still not use to all the changes since the remodel. Seems items difficult to find. Also they quit carrying some items that seemed quite popular. Like the crusty bread you could take home and bake. The deli keeps eliminating and changing the meats they carry. You find one you really like and they quit carrying it. They do have very good weekly sales. However items usually gone and not on shelves. Many times Ive been able to get a sales person to go in the back and bring it out for me. Time consuming.

This has got to be the worst meijer. Twice they have scheduled my brother off then changed it the day before. We put off our vacation because of this. He was to have Monday and Tuesday this comming week off. I am leaving Michigan for a year and we planned to spend two days together packing and visiting. They changed his schedule yesterday. No wonder they cant keep people at the store. The management cant do a simple job like schedule employees. You will NEVER see me in a Meijer again. FAmity store my a**!

Friday AM lot of customers only three registers open, had to complain to employee just standing there with clipboard and phone to get a manager out on the floor to open more registers. I spend to much money in Fort Gratiot Meijers every week to get such poor service. Not the first time this has happened. Also shelves not stocked. Krogers is probably a better option for me.

Meijer store in Fort Gratiot is my go to grocery store 95% of the time and I cant recall ever having a unfavorable experience since they opened. The employees are very good .People in general are going to have a bad at work now and then so if that happens with a employee I just try and cheer them up a bit. More customers should do the same. I like the store.

I like one stop shopping and this store fills that category. Produce is pretty good for the most part but Chile peppers are invariably limp and wrinkled. I have reservations about the deli as well after observing poor sanitation in regards to the meat/cheese slicers. I like the cheap milk and eggs though.

Produce is usually fresher than other large chain stores and sales are decent. Service is pretty typical for this type of store, some people are helpful, others are there to collect a paycheck. Their deli usually has a ridiculous line and grumpy workers, so I tend to avoid it.

Service has always been incredible, been going there for over 10 years. Fort Gratiot Meijer has set a great standard for other local and national Meijer locations, I would recommend this location to anyone in the county. Like the new updates in the store too, very up to date.

There are always sales going on, the staff is friendly, the restraunt is clean, and everything is always stocked. My only complaint would be that the bathrooms are in the front of the building so if you are getting dairy it takes a few minutes to get to the bathrooms.

Some of the staff at the Service Desk are a disservice . Rude , discourteous and impolite and the fact they dont know the differance is a display of ignorance . The management blindly tries to defend their actions with hypothetical scenarios, maybes and what ifs .

I will recommend this location to anyone. As the people work the night shift here is the best . Shout out to Mrs. Phyllis and Roger for going above and beyond for me . My birthday weekend and last thing I wanted to do is grab dog food lol

I enjoy the service at this store more than pretty much any other. This is my favorite Deli in the area, too. Beware: They are currently under construction, as of Fall 2016; finding things in the store proved to be a bit tricky.
