My review is for the sandwich bar not the store itself. The sandwich board lists a vegan reuben on Zingermans rye with marinated tempeh, sauerkraut, Daiya cheese, and thousand island dressing. To start, I asked about the thousand island dressing since it is mayonnaise based and was told that it was house made. When I asked what kind of "mayo" was used I was shown a large tub of Hellmans Lite--so not vegan. Im adaptable and asked for the sandwich without the dressing and for the Nasoya "mayo" that is offered for some of the other selections. The sandwich I got 1. was definitely not on a bread that Zingermans baked. 2. Had tempeh taken out of a package and had not been marinated. 3. Nasoya has a pretty distinct taste, as does the richness of real mayonnaise--my sandwich had the latter. Thank goodness Im not allergic to eggs. 4. It did have Daiya cheese, so 1 out of 4 ingredients met the description on the sandwich board. This is the only internet review Ive ever written, and Im not even particularly upset. My sandwich was edible. But, being that this is a health food store, it could do a whole lot better.

I use to love shopping here when it was at the old location. Customer service has really went down hill. Only person could assist me was the manager I recognized from the old location who was knew about health products. He is too busy here and I could not not really get any assistances . This is unbeliever. I am considering not coming here ever again. If I so much walked into Natural Path on 9 mile and Woodward in Ferndale within minutes an expert comes and asks If I need any help.. Dont expect that here. Cashiers are nice but they are clueless as for as recommendation.

Normally I shop where because its close and the selection is okay. Customer service is okay sometimes. However. I called the other day to check if something was in stock and they kept me on hold for five minutes the first time. I hung up and Called back and was put on hold for another five minutes for someone to come on, say hello one time and then hang up. Not sure what was going on but needless to say I went to another competitor store instead. Wont be going back.

The employee that prepares the food is always super nice and she always has a smile on her face. I dont know how far this review will go but I do know shes awesome! Thank you for always greeting your customers with a smile!

rude employees!!!. I have two options continue to shop where I a treated with disdain or spend a little more money shop at Whole Foods or Plum Market where the employees are respectful.
