If youre looking for the biggest sandwich in the world, go buy yourself a pound of baloney and a loaf of Wonder Bread and have at it. If youre looking for possibly the best tasting sandwiches in the world and are willing to splurge a little ($15 for a sandwich and drink) to get it, Morgan & York is the place to go. The flavor combinations presented on these sandwiches are amazing. Do yourself a favor and order from the sandwich menu rather than trying to invent your own sandwich. While the excellent ingredient quality no doubt contributes to the sandwich experience, I believe it is the carefully crafted combination of flavors that really makes Morgan & York something special. Morgan & York is primarily a store, but it has a number of small tables and is a delightful lunch stop. We have occasionally bought sandwiches to go, but the ambiance eating in the store itself is very nice.

Morgan & York is a great place to be ignored while trying to buy beer. Stood at the counter waiting to pay for a six-pack. Staff member was helping some guy buy wine, walked behind the counter, completely ignored me, then left to continue to help the other guy. No "Just a minute, let me finish with guy", no "let me find someone to ring you up", no "here let me take 20 seconds to let you pay and get out of here", no acknowledgement of my existence. Did I mention I was the only other person in the store? Ill take my business elsewhere if I want to pay 20% more for a 6-pack of All Day IPA.

The deli counter is wonderful, with a variety of tasty treats that are hard to find anywhere else in town. The coffee is also very good-they make great espresso. They get great pastries from down the road and it makes for a great breakfast on the run. However, only the back door is open early in the morning! The liquor portion of the store has a wide selection, and generally good service. I have had one experience where I was ignored by the staff at the liquor counter, which resulted in me leaving to purchase 400$ of scotch down the road.

Ive lived across the street from Morgan and York (used to be called Big Ten) for several years. They have a huge beer, wine, and cheese selection. Dont let the historic party supply store sign fool you. Be prepared to elevate your pinkies and break out your pocketbook. If you like Zingermans, youll like M&Y. Most weekends M&Y has special events and food samplings for $30. It is something fun to do. If you have spare time during summer, sign up for their wine tasting course.

Their new menu opportunities are fledgling after the dynamite remodeling. I think a little patience will be worth it. Things will not be as limited as before - but - I want to say that two days ago I went in and said, "I would like something more like a salad," and they said, "We can do that." It was a good salad and I appreciate a can do attitude anytime I can get it. d

What a hospitable group of people with delicious food and coffee. I love avocado toast for breakfast and the bread was superb, the butter was a great over the top touch and the chocolate thingie we added later was icing on the proverbial cake. We sat for quite a while in conversation with no urging or nudging us on our way.

Fantastic selection of fine wines and cordials including hard to find stuff, like Advocat. We hosted Dutch exchange students and this was their fav stop to get Dutch candy, which is impossible to find and expensive to ship. There are weekly wine tastings, a deli in the back and delicious samdwiches. Omigod the sandwiches.

A great stop for artisan-grade delights. You can get fresh roasted coffee beans that are no more than a few days old. Their espresso is consistently sublime. They have patiently helped me develop my palate for cheese. If old-world sophistication and class are an allure for you, then this is your stop.

Fantastic selection of artisan foods. The staff is very friendly and helpful and will happily take time to assist in picking out a wine or sampling their excellent cheeses while suggesting the perfect paring. Theres no reason to go anywhere else in the city to get wine and cheese.

Great shop, excellent wine selection and some hard-to-find foods. Staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. However, not a 5-star rating because there are absolutely no electrical plugs anywhere in the sitting area, so doing any work there on a computer is near impossible.

Great store with large selection of high quality goodies. It is a gourmet food store specializing in wine and cheese. They carry excellent olive oil in bulk. My favorite is the Greek olive oil and its priced reasonably compared to their other selections.

If you are looking to get a deli sandwich do not come here. I paid $12 for a slice of roast beef and a piece of bread. They are way too pricey for what you get. Deli wise at least not sure about the rest of the store.

Unbeatable Wine, Cheese, Coffee & Culture! Morgan and York is Ann Arbors community in a Deli/Coffee Shop and epitomizes what high culture is all about. Highly recommended M&Y to veterans and newcomers alike.

Wouldnt help pair wine with cheese. Asked multiple employees and no one could help. Assumed with such high prices they would have that type of information.
