I went in to look at their budgies on two occasions 6 months apart (I decided to give them a chance at redemption) and was disgusted by what I saw. Most of their budgies looked sick. They were overly lethargic and fluffed up (a sign of illness). They were not properly grooming themselves and their feathers looked very disheveled and damaged (a sign of illness) and many of their vents were not in the greatest condition (a sign of illness). I cant be sure, but I think a couple of them might even have had mite problems. The aviary where they housed them was very bad. Completely enclosed on all sides, there was very little airflow. It was also overcrowded for its size. I would never buy a budgie from this store and am disgusted that they would treat their animals like this.

This petco is okay... On one hand, they have a great selection of cat and dog supplies. However, their aquatics department is quite neglected. I was fish shopping today, and multiple bettas were dead or diseased... and they werent removed from the shelf! Many were also lethargic and stressed out; dont shop here for fish unless you know how to tell a healthy fish from a sick one... you wont be getting much help from the employees! Also, everything here is WAAAYY overpriced... I would recommend going to Petsmart or another local pet store.

As a former worker for the Petco located in Burlington MA I would have to say I would not recommend anyone to go to one of there store what so ever. You will never get the customer service you are looking for that you would find from a smaller scale pet shop. Though they might have a large variety of stock in there stores they do not carry the high quality pet diets that are out there. I would say take the couple extra minutes it might take to go to a mom and pop run pet shop....it will be worth it!

Sadly, I have to rate this store very poorly simply because they NEVER have enough help in there. Maybe one cash register open much of the time and you have to wait until they call someone for help. In addition, can never find anyone to help you again, due to the fact that the store is very understaffed. Also, concerned about the condition of some of the animals. This store needs to get serious about customer service and sprucing up.

I went there for the aquatics and was going to buy some fish. Except for the fact that there are literally no workers that are available to work at the aquatics section. The place was empty in the whole store except for 2 employees working at the cash register. Unfortunately I was unable to get my fish due to no help.

Back when I had pet fish, this is one of the two Petco stores I would visit for supplies (the other being in Woburn). My aquarium and accessories were actually brought from here. Im not sure about the other animals but this place has a good selection of fish supplies and is convenient to drive to.

Wont apply to everyone but thought the freshwater fish and equipment sections were sad. New World cichlids were mixed with Africans, some fish were in tanks but not labeled on the outside, etc. Not much reason to go there when PetSmart in Danvers or Petco in Woburn are short drives

Gets 4 stars for this locations grooming services. Very happy with groomers at this location. 3 stars for rest of the store. Not enough staff available for assistance. Shelves not stocked very well. Restroom is disgusting. This Petco location particularly in need of remodel.

I loved the people that worked there. There are a few people that are so helpful and nice that it makes it a lot easier for me to go to this store. Sarah and Julia are very nice helpful employees and deserve a raise.

They offer full service grooming, positive reinforcement dog training, low cost wellness clinics every other Saturday 9 -10:30. Brand new aquatics department. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Dont buy salt water fish at petco, there is no return policy. Bought a yellow tang and after a couple days began showing red marks which is a bacterial infection. 40 dollars down the drain.

The burlington petcos grooming salon is amazing! I would definitly recommend it to everybody. :-)
