I am a BU grad student who ordered my books from this store online. The store itself is great (if not moderately overpriced, but we all expected that). But it has been three weeks and I have made two visits to the store and still there are two books I dont have. The last time I was in (about a week ago) the customer service rep told me that although they had e-mailed me telling me that the books were on backorder, they had actually come in and should be processed soon. So I waited patiently for a week, expecting an e-mail to tell me my order was ready for pick-up, thinking it would be filled soon. I finally called today because I need these books for assignments due TOMORROW. When I asked if they knew when the books would be in, the customer service rep put me on hold for a few minutes, during which time she processed my order to be ready for pick-up. The employees I dealt with were all very kind and respectful, but I dont understand why it required me calling and asking them to process my order...to have my order processed. I wonder how long the textbooks had been available without my knowledge.

Slow delivery. Everything goes on "hold" for back ordering. Those are the good points. The worst part is the non-responses when you have an inquiry into your order or wish to simply cancel and order books/goods from another supplier (by the way, Amazon is always cheaper than the BU bookstore). When a customer asks a question using the contacts built into the stores website, it sure would be nice if someone acknowledged/answered. If you are ordering anything online from this store, save your energy. Everything available here is available from other, more reliable, sources. Those sources might actually have customer service skills.

I dont know how anyone can give The BU Barnes & Noble anything less than 4 or 5 stars. The staff is courteous and helpful. The process and staff make it easy to obtain and return books. When I was a new student, I had no idea how to do this and they were patient with me. When I couldnt get a book I needed, which was recommended by the instructor but not on the list, they offered to order for me. When I explained I needed it that day, they actually found and referred me to a competitive store. I highly recommend Barnes & Noble BU.

Very poor customer service regarding Boston Universitys coursebooks. Notorious for under ordering course packets to avoid purchasing too many, this causes about a third of students to not have access to them for the up to TWO months of classes. Buy backs are a scam, you buy them at full price and they buy back at 5-10%. Students should buy them online. Definitely not a good university store. It operates to drain students of their money.

This book stores policies are designed in a way to best separate you from your money. Beware that if you buy a book from here for class and it arrives after the first "week" of the semester, it is near impossible to return the book without dropping the class the book is for. Apparently the return period begins on the first day of school not on the first day when you actually receive the book.

Avoid the BU bookstore at all costs. Get your books on Amazon way cheaper where they actually have a return policy, which, in B&N, is hidden in small letters on the receipt. I had ONE single day to return my book and only discovered that when I tried to return it days later. Of course they refused and said that was my fault that I didnt read the fine print.

I wish I could give them zero stars. Charges excessively for rentals; no reminder that the rentals were due (per store manager: "reminders are just a courtesy, nor required under the contract"); no willingness to accept the books mere days after they were due. Literally the worst customer service experience I have had.... ever?

Good afternoon! I`m writing for the third time because I still got no answer! No facebook answer, no e-mail answer, may be somebody will answer here on Google :) Dear "B&N" BU! Do you deliver books and other stuff from online store to RUSSIA, MOSCOW? Is there an international delivery possible? Thank you!

Not a fan of this particular Barnes and Noble, but they are marketing to the BU crowd so their merchandise and layout scheme is understandable. If your not a college kid then I would avoid this branch and go elsewhere.

Typical university book store. Floors 1 & 2 have the books, floor 3 is dorm and college necessities, and textbooks above that. Avoid at all costs near the start or end of a semester.

Good merchandise but too expensive for broke college students. The same stuff can be found on Amazon for much cheaper.

Not a real Barnes and Noble, it is the Simmons College Bookstore. But it is great if you are a Simmons student.
