Locals go there for the apples, Boston suburbanites go there to pretend theyre in the "country". There is a joke that west of 495 is another country to people from Boston. Every fall this place gets inundated. A nice (but a little overpriced) deli, sandwich counter, small "gourmet" grocery area, and produce stand (with the same produce you can buy at any grocery store... not grown at Bolton Orchards). Best part about it is that they store apples year round in cold storage and you can pick apples out of the bin pretty much into the summer and still get good quality apples locally grown from the previous year.

BEST apple cider donuts around! They make them fresh every morning on the weekend. Grab a couple 6 packs and bring them to your friends. :) The veggies are also pretty good here, as well as the selection & price of groceries just in case you forgot something and dont want to drive all all the way to the store. The local apples & peaches are great! There is a deli & lunch counter, with a good selection if you are a meat eater. (Not much for vegetarians, sadly. I wish they had veggie burgers & dogs.)

I always liked going here until I tried ordering food at the deli/sandwich bar recently. There were people behind the counter who would not look at us or come over. I finally asked if someone was going to help us and got a short "in a minute" and was ignored. Finally someone came over and seemed extremely put out to have to make a sandwich so we left. I had been having lunch there once a week for a couple years and will not go back. I find rudeness extremely difficult to take.

This place is a great little market. Some things are a little pricey like when they do the pumpkins but the fruit is very well priced and the seconds are a great deal. Fantastic doughnuts and good items. Have to try the apple cider, they do fresh pressed cups out of a tap for 5c which the kids love.

This is such a nice little farm store. Theres so much variety and fresh produce, as well as many giftable items. They have delicious fresh cider donuts and have a deli for cold cuts as well as sandwiches and specials. The people are friendly and its a real gem. Definitely quality at the crossroads!

We like to take the long way home and stop for a club sandwich or a vanilla/chocolate swirl soft serve at Bolton Farms. We are about 50% successful in resisting the baked goods. Sorry to report that our willpower won today. Big tasty sandwiches. Family place.

The ice cream (both soft serve and regular) is just awful. It isnt at all creamy and is generally flavorless but equally as expensive as the better places nearby. Dont waste your time or money. I also got a pint of ice cream and it was only about 3/4 full.

The apple cider donuts are completely out of this world. We used to live right down the street and moved recently and drive almost an hour JUST to pick up some donuts on the weekend. Great company!

They have the best apple cider Ive ever had, but they do sell nuts and have peanuts out for anyone to eat. This is great for most people but be wary if you have a severe nut allergy.
