If you need to return something at Dollar General for any reason *whatsoever,* call 1st, make an appt. Im not kidding. Since there is no designated "Return" register, nor have I ever seen a manager/supervisor, youre going into general population, where a small transaction will quickly become a terrifying sociological experiment. I was overcharged by a cashier by over $2. Not only was the cashier on duty not the slightest bit apologetic; she seemed annoyed by my presence. She was clearly befuddled as to how to refund my money, first, by looking in all the wrong place(s) for the item. I showed her where it was, and was told I shouldve brought back the item. ?? I had the receipt from the day before. Here is where The Line caught on that I was not purchasing, but making them wait, growing the line. . . Results varied from annoyed sighs and stink eye to outrageous comments ("Ill give you $2 if you leave") to outright threats. Mind you, there was absolutely no intervention, crowd control, on the part of Dollar General. I shopped here because its inexpensive; esp. the pain relievers, (although sounding an air-strike alarm when reaching into the bin to retrieve migraine meds was not well thought out). Additionally, art supplies, make-up, hair-care(!), and some food/beverages. *Always* ensure that seals are intact; commonly, people who "shop" here feel free to take a tampon or two or help themselves to a couple of. . . whatever. Also, if you ask an employee a question, be prepared to hear a long, nails-on-a-chalkboard narrative of how exhausted they are, having spent the morning with the grandkids, well not technically, but- *bands head repeatedly.* Please note my impartiality, even in the face of the aforementioned incident. Ill even tell you girls to score the coveted "Wella" intensive honey mask ($3) here. Its normally at least $6. Im not keen on hearing myself say "Shall we take this outside?" ever. Most esp. to a stranger who frequents DG and thinks its appropriate to insert herself into a situation that doesnt concern her by verbally assaulting another customer. DG, you got 1 fork of a nerve using my picture as your icon.

Good for quick shopping. This place attracts a lot of colorful people. Not necessarily a bad thing, but..... Its a hit or miss if your in and out or stuck behind someone with a carriage of stuff paying with coupons and ebt. This can take forever when they almost always have one register open until the lines half way around the store. Staff is friendly, and they maintain it pretty well for a dollar store.

Well its 8:00 for opening hours and currently its 8:30 with no one doing anything inside and customers outside waiting but slowly leaving because no one opens the door

love the selection of everyday thing a such lower prices why pay $ 1.30 for a roll of paper towel when you can get same # of sheets per roll @ $ .50
