If I could give kennies a zero star I would. Granted, the discounts are good however, one of the managers, Lisa, kicked me out of the store because I went straight to the bathroom and my wife came in with me (Im gay) so that we could continue talking and I was told to get the hell out of her store or she was going to call the police....i had barely pulled my pants down when she burst through the door obviously thinking we were up to no good. Which we werent... She stated that I couldnt use the restroom unless I was purchasing something. She didnt even give me a chance to inform her that we did plan on purchasing items just didnt feel like carrying our groceries into the bathroom afterwards. Needless to say, we left without buying anything due to her sheer ignorance. This is discrimation of some sort whether its shes assuming Im doing something illegal or simply because Im gay I dont know but I will be writing to her corporate head quarters and I will not be shopping there anymore.

Moving back to the area from DC. Was stuck shopping at the competitor for the first 3 months then thank goodness a neighbor told me to go just across the street to Kennies! Feel like Im at home. Great options and freshness in the produce dept., awesome seafood department, hot bar and the staff are so helpful and friendly! Tons of options here, folks! Cant go wrong!

Kennies has an excellent butcher department. The bakery and deli counter; hot buffet are good too. I recommend shopping for all other items elsewhere unless an item is on sale. Otherwise some items can be extraordinarily expensive in comparison to other grocery stores. Overall however, excellent customer care and service, usually very clean.

Better of the two options available in Taneytown. Prices are higher and the selection is average. Rented a rug Doctor here once that was absolutely filthy. Then they wanted me to clean pet fur out of it. We dont have any pets. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful but not everyone. We make the trip to Wegmans more often than not.

Great service, they have a great grass fed, no antibiotics, no hormones all natural meat section. Not much organic Non gmo produce, they do have all natural and organic mixed in through the store, hopefully they get improve on the produce, I check for organic and non gmo... they are safer foods to eat!

The staff there are great and are super friendly. They are pricey on some things. Rated them four stars because the prepared foods look delicious BUT every single time I have purchased them they are dry and overcooked. Even the chicken- both rotisserie and fried.

Its a good small neighborhood store. Prices are a bit higher than the food lion right across the street but they have great bakery and hot foods departments.

Access is easy, although the ride ons are never charged. Produce section is great and they try to buy local. The delis homemade salads are the best
