This is the second review I have posted and not anymore favorable to Leonardtown Used Cars as before. I purchased a 2011 Chevy HHR in Feb 2013. I tried contacting the dealer beginning in June because there were a few problems. One being I couldnt open the front door from the inside, another problem is that I was having problems getting the gearshift. After I posted that review I was finally contacted in January by the dealership. I was told by the Used Car Manager to bring the car in and they would see what they could do. I figured I was going to finally have the problem fixed. He told me they would need the car for approximately 1-1/2 days. Almost a week later I got my car back and the only thing done was the car was detailed. I was told by the manager when he called that the piece on the door was broken and they had ordered the part but would be about a week to come in. I asked how that happened and his snide remark was, "Hell if I know, its your car." When I asked about the gearshifter he said "You have to get in the car, lock the doors and it will work, its a safety feature." Well I may be female, but I am definitely NOT stupid when it comes to vehicles. Ive never heard of such a thing, but I tried when I got in the car and the shifter still wouldnt move. Conveniently, the manager was not there when I picked my car up and one of the salesmen said they did believe the part was ordered, but didnt know what else was done with the car. I do know that I went past the used car lot everyday for 4 days and my vehicle never moved. So its been approximately 2 months and I have never heard back about the supposed part that was ordered. In short, I got tired of waiting and had my roommate look at it, it took him 30 minutes to fix the door. The cable had popped out of socket. Also, it was NEVER looked at. All the locktite was still in place and the door cover had never been removed. My gearshifter still sticks and I have learned to rock the vehicle to get it to move. This is NOT what I would call customer service and have told others in the market for a vehicle to steer clear of Leondardtown and to try Lexington Park (formerly Aldridge Ford).

Our family is growing and it was time for us to purchase a new vehicle that better suited our needs. We had purchased from Leonardtown Ford about 6 years ago and were not happy with the service that we received but decided to give them another chance and we are so happy that we did. We worked with Heather, Jesse and Ted and could not have asked for a better experience. We had done our research and knew that we wanted the Explorer XLT but also had a very strict budget that we needed to meet. Heather spent hours outside, in the cold rain, with us to make sure that we got to look at and test drive every vehicle that we wanted. Jesse found extra incentives/rebates, gave us above Kelley Blue Book for our trade and offered financing options for as long as 84 months to ensure that we met our budget. Ted made the paperwork portion a breeze and worked with us to make sure that we were able to purchase the GAP insurance and warranty that we wanted all while maintaining our budget. We left with the vehicle of our choice, within our budget and no doubts in our mind that we made the right choice in giving Leonardtown Ford a second chance. Thank you to Heather, Jesse and Ted for all of your hard work, willingness to work with us and providing such a great experience for us. Leonardtown Ford will have our business from this point forward.

I bought a 2011 used Fiesta from Ford with 37,000 miles on it and was given no remote entry keypad, and no spare key. I have had to replace the catalytic converter (thank god it was under warranty), the tires, and have the alignment redone. Oh yeah, and when I bought the car it had an empty gas tank they promised to fill up twice and was never refilled. The experiences I have had with this car have been a nightmare-especially now that my one and only key is bent, I am locked out of my car, and was told I have to pay for new keys $150, a tow to take it to a dealer, and someone to program this fancy magical key to my car $115. My star goes out to Mr. John Jarboe in the service department who has been very understanding and speedy at the large new Ford dealership up the hill. He has been very accommodating to fix all of these issues. If it werent for him I dont know what I would have done

This review is in regards to the service / parts department. I dropped off my Ford at the service shop to be looked at and diagnosed. After dropping it off, I was told it might be a day before they could look at my vehicle. I told them that I understood and waited 4 days before being called. When I went to pick up my car, I asked where my vehicle was located and was told outside in the lot somewhere. I was under the impression they could tell me where in the lot it was or that they would have someone walk me to my car so I could see the work they did. No one offered to assist me to find my vehicle or help me carry a rim that I purchased from them to my car. I was ignored and felt that they didn’t care.

We bought a 2013 Taurus in 2012 and had a great experience then but they topped that when we bought our F150 on Saturday. They even got our truck from another dealership. It was painless. The financing/paperwork has been streamlined and you can be in and out so much faster. They are a hometown dealership and make you feel like family. We know from the Taurus that the service is just as great as the sale. We highly recommend Leonardtown Ford.

Thank you Leonardtown Ford Service Department, Mr. Jarboe & Brandy for taking time w/me. They not only got my service & recalls done in a timely fashion but, figured out the other problem I was having all covered under the Powertrain Coverage/Extended Warranty. Worth getting it when I purchased this car as all my cars. I have purchased the Escape, Taurus, Focus, Fiesta & Fusion. We even own a Explorer. :-) Your customer since 2001

Just wanted to thank the Leonardtown Ford service dept for the excellent job they did fixing my Flex. They put extra effort into the diagnosis, worked with Ford Tech service, and when a bad part was purchased from another dealer, they took it upon themselves to order a new part and handle all required paperwork. Terry, the service manager, also personally called to follow up on the repair to ensure there were no issues. Thanks again!
