The Veyniac

The store is consistently dirty and dim-lit. It has a generally unsettling air, and the owner and his employees have a tendency to come off as shady. Pornography is also sold inside and its presence fits the overall bad taste that the shopping experience leaves in the mouth. What the owner has for sale is in disarray and scattered in piles throughout. It take quite a sense of adventure to make your way from the front entrance to the counter in the rear of the store front and if you have the courage to try and make it down the second aisle be sure to wear shin pads for the golf clubs and old TVs that will be stacked in the way. Nothing in the store is price marked. Business is conducted by appraisal of the customer. You select the item you may be interested in purchasing and bring it to the counter at which point you must inquire with the owner as to the price. The owner than begins to visibly scan you up and down to determine your worth. Once he has an estimate of how much you may be able to pay he quotes a price. The overall feel of the place is of one that better belongs down a long dark alley than out in the open.

Wow!!! The setting here resembles Sanford and Sons establishment...minus the comedy. The front door is opaque, as if to hide the business going on inside. Items are in tubs on the floor and shelves are carelessly stacked. I wanted to turn around and exit, the minute I crossed the threshold of this place. I asked about pawning an item that I brought in. The first person I encountered looked very interested in my item, but right away, a women with a heavy accent stepped in to override his interest. She asked what I wanted for it. I gave her my asking price, and she turns to a man at a computer(his face unseen), and speaks in a foreign language as to disguise the swindling I was to endure. At this time, I was reminded of a scene from a horror movie that didnt end well for the person in my position. After offering me a less than acceptable price, I thanked them for their time and left in a hurry. I would not return to this place, nor recommend my family or friends come here.

My experience there was totally unpleasant! This was my first time at a pawn shop and my last the employees treated me and my daughter and my good friend Polishing Paul who is known through out the Marina industry as the number one detailer and top notch polisher like second class citizens even though I myself own and operate a small trucking company that employees twelve men in the Harford county area. Some of my customers are Wilmot Structures and William Scotsman Inc and Alban Catapiller. I was shocked and taken back from Charlottes attitude and unprofessional I was totally unhappy with are first time at a pawn shop and Charlotte was walking around toting a huge fire arm by her side and maybe that is why she was so brash but the gun scared Paul and my daughter thank you for reading my story I hope that you and your family doesnt have to experience what Charlotte had put us through

The worst pawnshop ever. Nasty, dirty, junky and thats just there attitudes. Also the shop is covered in dust but there are new things there if you can find them. High priced broken items. Bugs like roaches and spiders run the shop. If you ask them for an item they tell you when you have the money well show you the item. It would be a better shop if they cleaned up their shelves and straightened up there attitude, plus be humble that someone would even come in there shop. But if you like to be treated like your begging for used items then this is the place for you and as well Im not the only one who has experienced this.

Be ready to feel like your either not in the right place or that swindling is amidst. I liked going here maybe 10yrs ago, but as you get older you tend to have a higher standard in the way your treated as a customer, also feeling as your in a mob ran establishment without the hospitality isnt a must have personally. At least have the hospitality if all else fails but not even.. Looking elsewhere is recommended

This place is horrible. I was 1 day late to pick my pawned item up. I pawned it for $100 and they said they would give it back to me for $500. They are greedy terrible people. If you want to get scammed and taken advantage of go to Chesapeake pawn.
