Cashier Ruth was very rude and nasty towards me at the register while ringing up my items. She did not say hello, good morning... just started snatching my items off of the belt and scanning them. As she began to bag my items, I handed her my recyclable Shoppers bag. She used 2 plastic bags as gloves and snatched my bag out of my hand. I have no idea why she used the bags as gloves, but that was certainly rude. She acted as if my shopping bag had a disease. Clearly she could see that I was pregnant and pushed my bags all the way to the end of the counter when my cart and I were standing right in front of her. It was difficult to lift the heavy myself. I assumed she would offer some assistance. I dont know who pissed on her corn flakes this morning, but if she didnt want to be at work this morning, then she shouldve stayed home. After leaving the store, I stood out front to gather my bags, the customer behind me mustve observed how rude she was to me and told me when he saw me outside of the store. The customer service is absolutely poor at this store. I usually travel to Putty Hill to grocery shop because the service is much better in that area. The Alameda Shoppers is convenient because it is local. By this being the only grocery store in the area that services the entire neighborhood, I would expect better appreciation towards paying customers who are polite.

Well ill say i go to shoppers alot sometimes daily especially what i like is the amazon locker thing near my house convinient for me but sometimes you can meet some cashiers like +tonight at the alameda branch can be real the lady talkng to you in condesending way maybe they are tired the other thing i dont like is i have noticed that when ever you go to the pharmacy section to oick out itwms yoy have asecurity guard following yoy around in most shopper stores sometimes standing at the cashers checkout to see you pay which i find disgraceful if youre a casual customer you may not pickup in that but like i said i go there daily so i notice not cool im sure there are people who may have noticed i have worked as security in the retail industry so i know but i have never been told to be following a customer around my usual position on this type of issue is if it were you would you like some following you around ?your guess is as good as mine

Dissapointing. Browse meat section. Chicken & pork chops list Tomorrow as the expiration date. Asked if fresh meats would be offered. Butcher shook his head No - I shook my back at him. I also agree w/another reviewer. Milk products are kept at very warm temperatures. Feel cartons & u will know they r spoiled. Shame on Shoppers 4 poor Customer service. Ill take my business elsewhere!

THIS IS THE WORST SHOPPERS AND I HAVE VOWED TO NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! The cashiers here are the worst. There are never enough lines open and the customer service is lacking to say the least.Their options are limited compared to other locations.

Probably one of the worst Shoppers Ive ever been in. I only had to run in to get a few things and was very disappointed on the set up. Not a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Prices are a little higher as well.
