I recently decided to return to this salvation army thrift store after refusing over a year ago to return my business because of a bad experience with rude,lazy workers and the general uncleanliness of the store. Now I know I was right to have stayed away. Different employees,new mgt.....no difference in employment, found cashier to be extremely rude, short and as to the prices were and what (I) was to pay. Upon entering store I stopped at register and asked if it was childrens clothing that was 1 half off. The cashier who was distracted gossiping with fellow employee,about which people in store looked like they could afford to pay higher prices. Once again decided I would take my business elsewhere. Will not return. Was lied to, talked about and overcharged. Will not b repeated. Lesson learned. Angel

Angel wrote 3 years ago that lazy, rude employees ran this Salvation Army store. Sorry to report things have not changed. I was there today, July 2, 2014 and the place is dirty and disorganized, the selection is pathetic and when I tried to buy something I was totally ignored by the "manager" who was trying to talk a young girl out of her phone number. I stood there for a few minutes after the girl had made her escape, and was totally ignored by this moron. He didnt acknowledge me in any way, so I put down my purchases and walked out. I wont be going back. There are several thrift stores that are run by adults.

Have shopped here for years. The recent remodel is a breath of fresh air. Major improvement. The biggest draw back is they get way to excited price wise $$$ with something that is a "little" better in quality or condition than normal. Shoes are also over priced. To many times there are items I would purchase but cant justify the price they have placed on the item when another resale shop will be more reasonable. Overall compared to other options in Topeka it is at the bottom of my list.

Ever since they remodeled the place has improved a lot. The smell from their old carpet is gone, the place looks brighter and it feels more spacious. They are still having problems with their roof leaking which is hazardous. The employees are wonderful and their prices are super cheap.

Wasnt very impressed. All the sizes and types of clothing were bunched together. Very hard to find my size and the type of clothing I was looking for
