We are just passing through and had planned to stop for the night at Walmart but they no longer allow RV overnights. Hy-Vee was very accommodating, allowing us to park next to their retaining wall for the night. Since we were there, we went shopping. OMG, loved this store. Not only are my fridge and ice chest fully loaded but we indulged in their restaurant/deli. I had the all you can eat Salad/Fruit/Soup/Taco Bar which was fresh and flavorful at a good price. So much fun to be able to sample so many items. My husband opted for a personalized pizza and he was thrilled. Lots of leftover pizza to squeeze into our fridge. Loved the store. They had the best store deli I have ever been to and hands down the most pleasant and helpful employees. And the fresh donuts........

Worst service I have ever had in my life at their Market Cafe. We decided to try it and we were seated promptly but then it took 10 minutes with all the wait staff walking by and ignoring us. Finally my husband inquired and someone finally came over and took our order but was still far less than friendly. It took almost an hour before the food arrived and when it did it was cold. I have never been impressed with this Hy Vee overall but this experience certainly iced it. Worst Hy Vee overall I have ever been in.

My husband and I went to the Market Place for drinks and dinner tonight. We could not possibly have had a better evening anywhere in Indianola! The Manager, Kaitlyn Fletcher, was SO helpful - informing us of the drink specials, dinner specials and the different specials offered each night of the week!! We spent two hours there getting lovely treatment and when we left, we were given a gift card for our next visit!! Thanks to Kaitlyn, we will be there regularly!!!!

They have a place to sit down and eat that almost feels like a restaurant. Nice for the budget, yet comfortable. It was just what we needed on the road. Im glad we stopped. The choices of food selections were very high in the deli. Salads looked fresh and so did the hot items. We did not buy any but would come again to try if the opportunity came to be.

If you have over 100$ in groceries you can have them delivered for free. Marketplace Cafe was a shock when it first went in but has since become my wifes favorite place to eat. Be warned it will take time for them to make your food, dont expect to be in and out. Tuesdays kids eat free at the knee high buffet and they show movies.

Over the years has gone through some transformative changes and continues to provide all the unique services Hyvee provides. Best beer selection in Indianola and the 1/2 off of 6pk of craft beer deal is a guarantee to get you hooked.

This is an average small town grocery store. The produce department is over priced and the fruit is usually under ripe. When it is over ripe then it is marked down but by then it is usually bruised. The other departments are average.

HyVee has all you can think of and then some at a decent price. Just wish they would add unit pricing to their shelves. It would make shopping there easier for those of us looking for the most economical items.
