I came in yesterday to look at dresses. I walked around one corner and realized i was going the wrong way. I turned and headed the other way when a Yonkers employee takes one look at me and says "are you looking for the maternity department?" Now i cant stop thinking about it. Do i really look pregnant? Not only that but i had a feeling before that, that some of the employees were looking at me strange because Im plus sized, but you do carry some size 16 clothes (not many). I just wish i had never stepped foot into Younkers, because my self-esteem has taken such a major blow :(

Aside from Westdale area being a construction zone, the Younkers store has also gone under some changes. Their new furniture Dept is nice with a wide range of products. The customer service in the home Dept was terrible (asked two questions and each time response was rude and/or didnt answer my question) so I took my things downstairs for checkout. Clinique counter rep was very nice and helpful. Overall store was clean but showed signs of age (escalator squeaks constantly for example)

I called and asked the employee to check on something for me and she set the phone down rang up a customer, told the customer thank you and then picked the phone up and told me they didnt have what I was looking for.... Since she never checked I am not sure how she knew they didnt have it!

We had good help from furniture dept. But am very disappointed that we cant exchange the box spring (its too high) without paying an expensive delivery and pick up. Fee.
