Drove from dubuque to cedar rapids to use the 100yd indoor range. Was there about 15 minutes early. He opened the doors a little after 10 a.m. I notice the building was about 60 yds long, kept wondering if there was even a 100 yd range. Meanwhile i called him the day before asked for prices for the 100 yard range, he replied $20 per hr seemed a little high but it was better than freezing. Double checked the website $20 per hr also. So i go inside tell him i wanna use the range, He says its gonna be $50 per hr!!!!! I said WHAT! U told me $20 on the phone yesterday and your website even says $20 Per Hr. Needless to say I left and wasnt paying $50 Bucks a hr, So I drove to the Dyersville Sportsman Club a little outta the way back to Dubuqe and sighted my gun in on their 200 yard rifle range that only cost $25 a yr!!! I even looked at the reviews and went anyway. Live and learn im only out the $20 in Gas, This chump definately wasnt getting 50 or 100 For a hr or 2 of range time!!! 1-15-16

I needed to zero a new firearm and the indoor range provided all that I needed to complete this work. I also needed a modification to a scope mount in order to properly zero the firearm, and I did not have the part to do this, so it was very helpful to have the staff available to do this modification for me. The cost for using the range was fine ($20/hr) and the labor for the modification was reasonable. The 25-yard range was fairly basic, but I did appreciate that your targets are attached to a motor driven pulley system so you can stay safely behind the shooting line. If using the range, remember to bring safety glasses and ear protection (they can be rented if you forget), and in colder weather bring an extra layer as the range temperature is heated, but not to a typical indoor temperature.

Terrible customer service. Called the phone number to reach a younger man, "hello?" was how he represented and welcomed me to his company. I asked if they carried the Beretta nano in stock and the guy said hell no we are six months out with little chance of you getting hands on one. I asked how much he priced them at. he said he didnt know. I became upset and told the guy if he had any decency he would at least be able to tell me what they have currently been pricing them at and he said 300 you motherFvker and then hung up on me! not only did he cuss at me, he told me an incorrect price! the pistol in question is 450msrp these days with the Gander Mountain down the street pricing them at 399! Terrible service! Wow.

Ive had the same experience others have stated regarding the range costs being misleading. Was lead to believe by phone and the website that the RIFLE RANGE was $20/hr which seems to be the normal going rate for most indoor ranges in the area, but I arrived with all the equipment only to be told the RIFLE RANGE is $50/hr. I begrudgingly obliged and used the range to zero my new scope. The rifle range is nothing more than a very large tube underground in the basement. Its just as cold down there as it is outside, the only difference being there is no wind. Its even worth $20/hr. Dont go for the range. I cant speak to the gun store aspect as Ive never bought or even browsed the store.

We went to use the range, paid $26 a person for an hour of shooting. We apparently went over 15 mins. on time (nothing was said about being finished by a certain minute) and he demanded that we paid an extra $5 "because of insurance", somehow my receipt was for $5.38. Our extra 15 mins. was spent fixing the pooling water in the shooting range due to a broken sump pump. I can understand charging extra if he had said, "OK guys its 3:15 be done by 4:15 or youll get charged extra." however nothing like this was mentioned. Aside from that ordeal all of his ammo was overpriced and he was put out that we didnt buy his ammo to shoot with. Overall, it was a bad experience.

I asked the owner a question about one of his Pistols, He answered me with "Are you going to buy it?" i replied "not sure yet" to which he said "You cant afford this, Get out of my shop" I have had more bad experiences with this shops owner than i can count on both hands. He would be better off hiring help and sitting his old grumpy ass at home and enjoy being grumpy from home as a retiree, His business would probably do better also! He has personally talked me out of several purchases. Selection and set up would allow this to be a great gun store for Cedar Rapids, The owner is the nail in this shops coffin though.

Walked in to look around - and the old guy was working with someone else. I told him that he could keep working with the customer he was helping. Since I was on a sales trip, I was carrying a notebook and he asked if I was a salesman - which I am - and I said "yes" even though I wasnt there to sell anything. I was looking for a starters pistol and archery gear for my son. He snapped "I shoot every other salesman that stops in here" and basically told me to get out. I did. He may have losta sale. Rude old guy. I dont know why anybody would buy anything from that place.

Good selection of firearms but had a very bad experience with the older gentlemen that worked there, I was younger at the time and did not have a carry/buy permit but was interested in the rifles and was willing to buy and age 20 at the time he persisted that I go get a permit and when I asked him why all he did was repeat him self. As a avid gun owner and enthusiast I found it very rude to treat me like crap just because of my age so needless to say not planning on going back. But hey if your older then I am sure you may get some respect for the guy...

First gun store Ive ever been to that said "No loaded guns." Even gander mountain has a sign that says only firearms being brought in for smithing or trades need to be unloaded. Worthless selection of firearms, none of which are priced but looking at the prices of everything else in the store probably all overpriced. Id sooner go to the supremely understocked gander for ammo. Owner or someone came out for about 4 seconds, didnt acknowledge us at all. Go to Cedar Valley Outfitters, even the extra drive is worth it compared to this shite.

Experience was HORRIBLE! They put an ad in the CR Gazetm te weekly saying they will beat all deals...including online deals. So I went in today and showed them an ad for a Kimber Custom and they said oh we wont honor that, the price is too low??? I said that your ad says you beat all deals, they even have a sign in the store too! Needless to say I left without buying anything. I will be contacting BBB and county attorney about fraud.

Stay away. The father and son team are off in every way. The old man absolutely hates people that are looking for a gun.I was looking for a half hour and looking at different pistols. The old man actually had the balls to ask if i was going to buy anything.. and if I wasnt he was going back to doing God knows what in the locked back room.
