Visited M and J Firearms on 8/19/2017. The little town was busy having a sidewalk sale and the wife and I were just out shopping. Ducked inside to avoid the humidity (thats what I told the wife) and was greeted by a VERY friendly owner. He spent a good deal of time with my wife and I showing us some of the new polymer firearms and recommended that we take a class from 911 defense before we bought one to see what we really felt was a good fit. Ive been to many gun stores in my time and have never had a salesman tell me to try before I buy before today. That is why we scheduled an appointment with Dee and are definitely going back to buy my wife her first firearm from Martin.

This is what a local gun store should be. So many stores are dark, spooky, and patronized and even staffed by creepy looking dudes. Its no wonder so many people are afraid of gun owners; look at where they shop! But M&J is open, clean, well-lit, well-staffed, reasonably priced, and patronized by local police. By the atmosphere, they could just as well be selling sporting goods. And, contrary to every other store Ive visited in the Indianapolis area, they handle the guns safely. Tour the local gun stores and see how rare this is. I have no connection with the ownership; Im just a very satisfied customer who hopes this store has a long and prosperous run.

M and J Firearms is a great gun shop that will make you feel welcomed. Either you are experienced or new to firearms you will find something to your liking or find out information to help your purchase. I have held money at the store to save up for a firearm and I finally pulled the trigger and picked one up. The owner suggested the Taurus PT111 Milennium G2 after I spoke of my wants and needs with a price. I picked up this handgun with a holster and was very happy with the price. I went back to the store to pick up a target to take the PT111 G2 to the range and it went off without an issue. I will take my business to M and J and so should you.

Dont be fooled by all the 5 star ratings. I went in this past Saturday, nobody even looked up. 4 people working at the time, 2 customers and myself. No Hello, no welcome to, no "help you?" Even while I looked in the cases. Unfriendly, felt that I didnt belong there. As for the reviews they have, 2 of the reviewer pics I saw were the regulars I saw there. So if youre a neighbor or hunting buddy of theirs youll get treated good. Ill take the extra time to drive to 9 Guns in Anderson, Nothing fake there.

I visited yesterday to get an idea on purchasing a weapon. I am a complete novice when it comes to guns. The owner provided excellent customer service, including putting me in touch with a provider that trains gun novices about how to try out and safely use guns. Once I take classes on choosing and learning how to safely use a gun, I will definitely be going back to M&J to purchase my firearm. There is definitely something to be said about a business that provides excellent customer service.

I live in Hancock County and was looking for a good gun store. I found these guys on Google right in my own back yard! My girlfriend and I went in and the store is really nice and friendly! I wanted a gun for protection and was surprised at just how many choices they have. They also have a female instructor!! I cant wait to get lessons from her and pick out my new gun! I recommend this store to any woman who is looking for a gun for protection! Thanks Martin for explaining so much!

These guys are top notch! I was looking for something I didnt think I was going to find. Got with these folks, low and behold through total luck they had it. And even if they didnt I find out they could have ordered it with no hassles. These guys are nice, knowledgeable, and the prices are pretty good to. I wont be going to anyone but M and J. I want to keep them in business for a long time!

I will add to the positive reviews. Very nice store with a solid selection of firearms and ammo. The owner is quite possibly the most open and friendly person I have met at a gun store. I will be back and I will be glad to shop in his store. Since originally leaving this review I have been back over and over and M & J continues to win my loyalty with ever visit.

Great customer service and product knowledge---used M and J for an FFL transfer and Martin made sure that the experience was efficient yet thorough. Having ordered a used gun, he even went over every part of the firearm with me, pointing out any signs of use. Couldnt ask for more. Oh! And Ill be back for a bag of the homemade coffee!

Great service. They were patient, informative, answered my questions, made suggestions, and helped me compare models. I never felt pressured and am very happy with my new Mossberg. I have since been back for gear and accessories with similar experience and quality service. I will drive a little farther to give them my business.

Quite possibly one of the best gun stores I have ever visited. I have purchased several (and have my eye on several more). Prices are almost always the lowest. Martin is extremely knowledgeable and has great resources to get anything you need. Stop in and try some of his home made coffee too! Worth the drive!!!!

There is another review posted here by a guy with the same name (not me), but I had a similarly excellent experience here. Martin was very helpful and explained everything very clearly. Ive been to several other establishments in and around Indy and none came even close to the excellent service I got at M and J.

Bought a couple of Henry Rifles here over the past couple months. Martin was helpful, professional and the price was great. Absolutely no need for me to go any big box store again for firearms or ammo. The coffee was great too, highly recommend a bag. Will surely be back.

Great place, staff is very helpful and friendly as well as knowledgeable in their products. Prices are reasonable with steals every week. This is the only place I shop and best of all its local...no more Walmart or Gander Mountain driving marathons.
