My husband and I drove 130 miles round trip to the Clarksville store looking for sheving units. The sales lady waves her arm in the general direction of what they had and I walked to where she gestured. I actually found several of the ladder type open shelves that would have been perfect for what I wanted them for. HOWEVER, when we approached her (she never did come to where we were looking at the shelves) she informed us that she couldnt sell them to us. WHAT??? She told us she would have to check the warehouse to see if they had more and we could come back Tuesday and pick them up. Ridiculous!! We were there then, had the money in hand, and they had 2 units that we wanted to purchase and take with us, but they REFUSED to sell them to us. Now, why could they not sell us the 2 units we wanted right there and then and replace them on Tuesday for store display with what was in the warehouse? I had no idea this was a showroom only facility; I thought they were in the business of selling furniture?! Guess I was wrong. Come to find out, others have had the same problem. You go in there to buy a piece of furniture but they refuse to sell it. With todays economy, it doesnt look to me like they can REFUSE to sell anything. Needless to say, well not be going back.

So my husband, a few friends, and I go into the store today. With no intention to purchase, just browsing around, we dont want to settle. As soon as we walk in a sales rep walks over to us. "Are you looking for anything special?" Husband says no just browsing around today. The same sales rep pretty much stalks us throughout the entire store. Every time we looked up he was starring just ready to pounce at any opportunity. We only get half way through the store and he comes back trying to see if we have found anything. Not yet sir, we will get you when we are ready. He then CONTINUES to follow us throughout the rest of the store. It was creepy and unsettling. Every time we sat down I would look up and he would be starring. I was done with this trip by then. We decide to go to one more couch, and what do you know, there he is and when I looked up he turned and pretended to be doing something else. I got off the couch and said Im done, its time to go. We are at the door opening when he realizes we are leaving and he yells, "anything you want to price check?" One thing I will never do is to be pressured into buying anything! I will not go back to this store. They dont care about anything but a sale.

Probably one of the worst experiences ive ever had.... First we purchased a new bed at this location. We were promised that it would be in-stock within the next week (that never happened) We were also promised brand new sheets. After calling we were informed that our sales agent Patti never put them on our order. So after waiting 2 1/2 weeks we finally get the call that it will be delivered the next day between 12:30 and 3:30. So today is the day, time for a brand new bed. They finally arrive, they ask to see the room where it will be set up. As we are walking back to the truck the guy says "Oh yeah i forgot to mention that we forgot the frame" Then proceeds to tell me that they can bring it out next week. Are you kidding me, a bed is not a bed without the frame. So he calls his supervisor and she says "if they want the frame today they can come and get it and I will give them gas money" So I call the store and talk to a manager who says "Well things happen". Never a sorry or anything... All in all just a disaster... Please avoid this location...

I bought a leather couch and love seat from value city furniture. Within 6 months the leather began to crack. I had purchased the extended leather warranty on the set so I called to ask what I needed to do. They informed me that I needed to send them a copy of my original receipt. I did this but I was told that I did not send it in in time so it would not be covered. A few months later the fabric on the front of the couch began to wear off. I called again but was told that since I had problems with this couch before, it was an "on going issue" and that the warranty on my set was not valid until I paid a professional to come in and fix the couch. So I am now paying for a warranty that is not valid and a couch that I am embarrassed to have in my home. The customer service is horrible and I will never purchase anything from here again.

We walked in knowing what we wanted, as we had shopped online before we came. We looked around at a couple other bedroom sets and settled on what we wanted. We looked around for a salesperson, and there were none to be found. We walked up to someone and asked if they could help us. They paged another person and walked away. We waited around an additional 15 minutes. Im not going to wait for over 30 minutes and beg you to spend $3000 dollars with your store. Ill take my money elsewhere. Nobody greeted us when we walked in, nobody approached us the entire time we were there, and nobody so much as lifted their head as we walked out. Terrible customer service.

Ordered mattress and adjustable frame 2-18-17, paid $100.00 for delivery and told delivery would be today on 3-117. I would get call with a 2 hour window never got it, but still made arrangements for someone to be at house all day. Huge waste of time!!!! I called 2 times to check on it and was assured it was down for delivery but on my second call the lady said she would call truck and call me back, NEVER GOT THAT CALL :(. Almost 9pm and havent heard back from Value City. So upset with this horrible service. What good does it do to get great personal service at the store, which I did, then drop the ball so jorribl9###

Completely pointless store. They should save money and be online only. Nothing is available in the store, they can get it shipped in a few days. So can Amazon.

Waiting on my third set of cushions for my already replaced couch in two and a half years. Never again and I discourage all others.

Staff was very helpful and we found exactly what we wanted. The deliver fee is a lot but we live pretty far from the store
