Everyone started out great, Andrew - used car salesman was friendly and inviting. I picked out a 2013 650xi for $53,000 in Aug 2016, issues started at delivery There was a scratch on the rear bumper. Andrew said we would take care of it, brought out touch up paint which would have filled in the color but left the gash. He said ok, bring the car back drop it off and they will have it professionally taken care of. This took 3 tries. 1) dropped it off, got a call later that week saying it was ready, arrived to find out it will needed clear coating, 2) brought it back for clear coat, picked it up, looked at the bumper, the coating was peeling 3) Third time is the charm, everything was perfect. Youd think paying so much for a car, you should not find a scatch, what a Hassle. Thats not all. The following are number of times I returned to the dealership for repairs from Sept 16- May 17 when I finally unloaded 1) failed window motor 2) power seat memory stopped working 3) burnt door sill light 4) condensation in the headlight - which i took picutres, they stated it was normal condensation, they did a water stress test and found nothing....next day it rained and condensation was back! I took more pictures brought back for visit number 5) ok we will replace the headlight, (I think i overhead the advisor tell the tech they test the wrong headlamp last time) 6) noise or rattle passenger side. - loose window something? 7) failed parking brake - leak from the trunk malfunctioned some switch idk... 8) some normal wear and tear nothing to do with dealership, flat tire, rim dents leading to road noise. 9) few times for low oil, Andrew failed to mention the car burns a quart of oil ever 750 miles and to carry bottles in the trunk. Naturally, somewhere in the middle of all the issues I because frustrated and called Andrew, asked him what can we do? He said stop by and he will help me out. Meaning trade it in for another CPO BMW. This was around March, he valued my trade at 39.9k, I paid 53k in Aug. Also, he said I smoked and my rims were dented. Well I dont smoke, no has and the dents are to fixed by the tire wheel warranty I purchased. The most frustrating part was how FIELDS was still trying to make a buck off a dissatisfied customer...how do I know? I went over to Carmax and Nissan, they offered 42.9k cash for the car.... I politely cursed under my breath and left. After that I decided to give the car another chance, however as other things went wrong I gave up. The last attempt, service brought over the new car manager Joe, sat me down, I explained my dilemma and frustration with used car and Andrew, he sounded very compassionate and reassuring. I would take about a week for service to repair the parking brake and during that time Joe M. said he would speak with Dan Martin and call me, to help arrange a fair deal. I waited the week, service finally finished the car. NO call from Joe for Dan. At that point I said forget this. I picked up the bmw middle May 2017, the service advisors know me by face, Ive been there how many times? He knew I was frustrated, he called over Dave, the GM? He apologized, at that point it was too late. He said he would have the used car manager, Dan call me next week to talk, never did... Its not the car, its how Fields handled a dissatisfied customer, trying to take advantage to have another profit, and lack of follow up. Service was friendly but good like getting anything other than voicemail when making a service appt. Same day, I left Fields BMW, drove to Porsche, they valued by trade at 39.9k, same as BMW just 3 months later, knocked off 10k off the MSRP 2017 Cayenne that was a loaner and Im set. I think the moral of my review is to remind every other person leaving reviews. WAIT a few months, of course when everything runs smoothly the dealership will be a hoot to deal with and youll give all stars, what we want to know is how they handle conflict and the dissatisfied customer. I wish I could retract the review I gave Andrew, he did deserve all 10s, I should have waited FIELDS FAILED.

Bought a used 2011 BMW 535xi long distance via the internet. Price negotiated via phone and mobile inspection. Flew into town to pickup and drive in person before driving home with it. Pros: - Deposit fully refundable if you dont buy the vehicle - Goran (salesman) and Jim (manager) were understanding when I had to delay my trip a week due to a family emergency. - Information about the car was readily available - Worked with AIM mobile inspection company during their visit to inspect the car (highly recommend!) - Finance manager (Dan) got me 1.7% financing (beat my bank and BMW). Explained the many warranties that could be added, no pressure. - Everything the day of purchase re: paperwork, etc went well - Cafe was nice and staff was VERY friendly - Dealership itself was immaculate - Goran tried to show me all the features of the car during my test drive, funny watching him try to communicate with the voice commands which is probably the most useless feature ever. - Other employees helped you out and left you alone when you didnt need things Cons: - Car mileage went up 3000 miles from the ad on Auto Trader after we agreed on a price (lots of test drives?) The ones that really angered me.... - Inside of car was dirty when I picked it up. Heres what was in the car: dirty kleenex in rear map holder, mustard stains on the passenger seat belt that was worn during the test drive by Goran, sesame seeds in the trunk, half full water bottle under the seat. Along with this was a dirty navigation screen, grime on the door controls, ashtray top was not attached (luckily I could reattach) - After the voiced these concerns via email, Goran never responded and Jim "owed me a detail" but never got back with me. Too bad Im 900 miles away. For a dealership that sells high end vehicles and prides itself "on the neighborhood" its in, they should take time to adequately prepare the cars they sell and ensure a happy customer. I have a feeling that since they have my money already, they dont really give a sh.. Will happily update if they ever get back with me. Its been a week...

After months of research and procrastination, I couldnt hold myself back any longer; I had to purchase my next partner in crime. Being an Audi guy all my life, naturally that would be a default pick. So, there I was at a local chicagoland dealership that prides themselves in service and their quality selection of certified pre-owned Audis; short story, very short, there I was leaving the dealership. Needless to say, the sales persons on staff, including management were highly unprofessional, and extremely unhelpful. This left me with an open mind, a fresh pallette for cars, and an unfair association that my poor customer service was directly related to Audi (which of course it wasnt). On to the review that matters, Fields BMW and my salesperon Kriz Mroz. Thank you! I walked into the dealership knowing exactly which car I wanted, why I wanted it, and a grudge against Audi. Basically a freebie sale to whomever happened to stumble into path once I entered (assuming said salesperson that I ran into wasnt focused on trying to "SELL" me a vehicle). Kris approached me as a person, treated me with respect, and quite simply put, made a friend. To me, that is the most effective sales pitch anyone could ever use, for classification purposes. What I was looking for wasnt a 135i, because I had already found it (Kris even went the extra mile and had me escorted to the maintence garage where BMW mechanics were still doing preparations before putting it on the lot-that was a huge plus since he could recognize I just wanted to look at the beauty, regardless of the unbathed state it was in); what I needed was a friend, an advisor, someone I could count on to help guide me in the direction of service requests or future cousel. Kris listened to what I said, and simply provided his best educated response. Perfect, thank you Kris and the rest of the Fields BMW staff that aided in his efforts, you have made a client for the long-term.
