This has to be the best place to buy wine in Chicago. Huge selection, well-curated, and they claim that theres not a bad bottle in the place. Ive made some real scores here. The staff is very knowledgeable and super friendly and helpful, the prices are lower than anywhere else, and if you go on a Saturday they have all sorts of different wine you can try. Plus they have scheduled tasting events all the time. If you like wine, go here. The only drawback is the limited hours - theyre not really open at night so go right after work or on the weekend. Again, Saturday - lots of open bottles to try.

I had driven by this store several times and decided to stop by on a whim on Saturday. That afternoon, I enjoyed their free wine tasting composed of 5 whites and six reds. They were very friendly and the wines varied greatly in both style and price-point($13-90). Tastings are a great opportunity to learn more about wine and you cant argue with the free. I also found out that they have a much larger wine tasting the first Wednesday of every month composed of 20-30 wines.

I was pleasantly surprised with Vin Chicago. The last time I was here was years ago, when it was under another name. I needed some wine for a weekend getaway. I didnt want to break the bank with overpriced wine. And I didnt here. They had a great selection of wines priced at $12-15. Plus the impressive part is that they emailed me the descriptions of the wine which was fantastic because when my friends asked me about the wine I brought, I could actually tell them.

New name Vin. They know there stuff and you cant go wrong here. I have had some of the best wines here. The probably is - I love to drink but I cant drink enough of the selection to enjoy everything it has to offer. So nice, helpful, knowledgeable and no frills. For those who are in the know and dont have to prove it!

Great wine at even better prices. A lot you wont recognize, but the staff is really helpful. Tell them what food you want to pair the wine with, what you like and dont like about wines youve had, and what price range you want, and theyll find you a bottle thats just perfect. Cant recommend these guys enough.
