Purchased a Sony Ericsson TXT Pro phone from them in person in October 2012 after looking on the web. Phone had some issues. Sent it to Sony Ericsson/Sony Mobile for repair several times with no results. They requested a printed receipt with the IMEI# on it for replacement after the third time. Contacted Popular Electronics via phone, e-mail and fax to request the printed receipt with no response. Called once and was given an e-mail to request it. Searched and got several other e-mail addresses that I included and still got no response after about one and a half to two months. Resorted to other means to get issue resolve with Sony Ericsson/Sony Mobile on issue. Finally was resolved in April of 2013 with no contact at all from Popular Electronics. Would not purchase another phone from them without thoroughly testing unit and getting a proper printed receipt with IMEI# on it for warranty purposed via the manufacturer. In searching web I saw positive postings on this location from associated employees or owners of the business. Purchase phones with caution from this location.

I purchased two phones there, one around $250 and another $570+...I can honestly say that you wont find worst experience anywhere else. Shady sales people, liars, you name it...phones they sell are second hand, not brand new and you can forget about customer service. I went back, the $250 phone keyboard had burned out light and $570 phone kept freezing up. They told me that isnt their problem and to contact manufacturer. When I called HTC for the $570, they told me that this particular phone was never meant for US market and that it was solely a Hong Kong device and they have no idea how it made its way to US. Uhhh...theft anyone?!?!? Stay away from them and take my advice - buy from reputable websites or your cell provider directly. And these positive reviews are so fake ("best store in the world!!!") - WHO WRITES THAT? Obviously they are writing their own reviews. Avoid - Avoid - Avoid !!!!!!!!

I needed a PAL DVD player. The folks at Facets Multimedia recommended Popular Electronics on Devon. I am one happy customer! I took in the particular DVD, zoned for South America, that I want to be able to play. The salesman was super-helpful and patient with my questions. He showed me 2 models and explained the features of each. Then, after I picked the one I wanted, he opened the box, plugged it in, and made sure that it worked for the DVD I brought in. I have NEVER gotten this kind of service and attention to quality anywhere, not Best Buy, not Sears, not TigerDirect, not a mom & pop store. For any electronics buys in the future, I will come here first. Oh, and the price was very reasonable.

I was looking for an Xperia Z2 which is a hard phone to find right now. They had one available for me to pickup which they put on hold for me, and I just got it yesterday. I am very satisfied with the phone. I was even looking for a newer batch number and I was able to check it out before I bought it, and it was actually 2 weeks newer than the newest I had heard about. The staff was very knowledgeable on the product, and even gave me a great price on accessories for the phone. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy a good phone, especially one thats hard to find like the Z2.

100% fraud. Unknowingly I have ordered MacBook Air laptop. They asked me to pay 5k initially and said like enough to pay when I get the product. But later they keeps asked me to pay amount for custom fee and insurance. Finally one day asked me to settle balance then only I will get a product. I have paid. But still I didnt receive the product. Now they are asking me to pay 10k additionally to get importation license which was not mentioned when I enquire about the payment details. There is no proper shipment tracking system also. Totally disappointed. Never ever think about buying goods from them.

Popular Electronics customer service IS very poor. Bought a very expensive unlocked Droid Razr that died due to a well documented HW problem. Reported the problem to Popular and they never even returned my call. If you are thinking of buying from Popular Electronics, please reconsider. This post sales problem is in addition to their incompetence in shipping and timely delivery. Please Be Aware that they counter bad reviews by posting good reviews for themselves.

Most horrible experience. They sold refurbished and broken phone to me. Phone which was sold to me had a problem with phone circuit and phone battery as I couldn’t recharge phone at home. When I complained to them over the phone, they rudely denied and said they cannot do anything. how can some one test phone charging at their store? They didn’t even want to listen to me. Very rude and bad experience with them.

Popular Electronics is the best store for merchandise and electronics. I have been shopping here for the past 5 years and they always have what I need. They have great customer service and a wide variety of items so its easy to make decisions on which models to purchase based on specific needs. They are very informative and give complete details on each product. Great store, and Lowest Prices!!!

Went to buy a device and was told over the phone it was new in box with a warranty. Show up to buy the phone to find its opened bog, opened accessories and T-Mobile branded from some carrier in Germany. You know what that means? No warranty support for us in the USA. 2 stars cause i got my money back. Good prices but thats it...

I dont know where bad reviews are coming from because my experience was great. Got a good deal on my Z2 and some accessories. I also checked my IMEI and can tell you that my phone was not stolen I dont know why someone would post a review like that. Phone is great! Salesman was knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks again!
