Ive been going here several times a week since it opened. Open Produce is a wonderful small store with an ideal mix of the essentials, and cool oddball foodstuffs. Open Produce has a an interesting completely transparent financial data on their which is cool if you want to geek out to that stuff, great music, and a chill vibe that make it seem hip but not corny, upscale but inexpensive, and is a vital component to our neighborhoods character.

Open late, open early, good prices, great selection, fun staff: how do they manage it? The produce is (mostly) local, the dry goods international, and even the frozen food is cool. They dont like very small change any more than the rest of us, so all prices come out in increments of 25 cents. Something you dont see? Ask and it shall be ordered! (I do miss the goat-milk ice cream, though ...) Really a complete one-stop food shoppe. #15bday

I just discovered this small shop a few blocks away from my apartment and the moment I walked in I loved it! It has $1 produce section, where about to expire but still good produce are bagged and sold for one dollar per bag (the bag is huge!). I love that they sell cumin, turmeric and other spices for cheap, ($2.50 vs $4 to 5 in other places), and the staff there are super friendly!

Open Produce has a surprisingly large selection for its small size. I can come here at 2 am to buy a 20lb bag of rice, bags of fresh local produce, and Stroompwaffles from The Netherlands. Always something unexpected among the necessary staples. Staff is awesome, too.

Open so late which is PERFECT when you have late night food cravings. Extensive selection of really cutely packaged, alternative food items, as well as a small but quality selection of *local* produce. The service is also great, as is the music selection.

Excellent place for locally-sourced organic fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, fish and dairy products. They have hard-to-find gluten-free and dairy-free products. The prices are pretty good for such a small store.

Great for lots of different things. I love to be able to run over and get delicious Medici bread, along with a selection of cheese (lots of goat cheese for those who cant have cow dairy). Open when you need them!

I didnt realize the hours were so convenient. Its a tiny place but Ive found items here that I cant find anywhere else in town and every single person Ive met on staff was helpful and friendly. Brilliant store.

Awesome enviroment, the service is great. I wish every grocery store had such a variety of products in such a small space. I never would have found it if i wasnt for word of mouth.

The only thing open in Hyde Park after 10 PM besides the donut shop. But this is way more delicious. Their website also lists everything they have in the store -- pretty cool!

Its open until 2am! The employees are the best and will not judge your drunken vegan ice cream purchases. Its also the only place in Hyde Park to get falafel chips.
