BAD DOG CHARLIE! how are you still in business!.. This is my first time ordering business cards. Ive been working on my card design for quite some time and excited to finally get them printed. I was trying to find a local place to print my business cards and I came across Bulldog Printing I first called to inquire about their specials, they advertise $30 prints for 500 cards (digital printing) but when asked about it, he said they dont offer it.. ?? I was told for 500 cards its $50 (offset printing), which is definitely NOT the cheapest around, but I was still ok with. I was planning to go out that day to put in an order so I asked general questions such as turnaround time, required specifications, difference between offset and digital printing. He acted as if I knew the answers and that I was just testing him. This Charlie guy then said, "you know what, you just need to come in. I have 2 other people on the line and I dont have time to answer your questions." … and yet I still decided to stop by.. When I arrived, it felt like I walked in through the back door. The place is a mess and theres a dog wandering around, which I initially didnt mind. I asked Charlie if he would be able to pull up my jpeg to make sure that it was made properly and would not print outside of the printable area as this is my first time getting business cards printed. He immediately said NO, and they dont do any design work and that it must be print ready. As we continued to talk, he was yelling at his dog every other second, while interrupting me every time I spoke got pretty frustrating. For a business owner to be rude to customers on the phone is bad enough and to continue to be rude once I get there is NOT acceptable. I ended up finding another local shop that offered a MUCH better deal, more friendly, more willing to answer a simple question, more welcoming(NOT a dump) and simply more professional. I do not recommend Bulldog Printing, anyone that continues to do business with him is only promoting his terrible attitude towards customers.

This is the LEAST professional printing service I have ever dealt with. The art director really gave me the runaround. I submitted my order on monday, received my confirmation response, paid for the order in full, completed everything perfectly and was promised to have my prints by thursday. I was very satisfied and felt this was a reasonable turnaround. So what happens? I call on thursday ready to pick up, and they put me on hold for 20 minutes to go look around for my order. THEN, they come back on and tell me they lost the order. How this is even possible with a paid upfront order I have no idea. Next they tell me they will put it back in their system and start over again, so I should call back to see if the prints are done on Monday. All this of course with not as much as an apology or god forbid some sort of discount for having reneged on the deadline promised by the art director. I wanted to support a local Chicago business instead of ordering online, and for that I have missed my deadline. Definitely dont print here! Print somewhere else!

I found this place on a google search. After calling around it seemed they had the best price on tshirts. Once I arrived for the initial meeting i was surprised by how messy the place was. There was stuff everywhere. Im pretty sure he has lost orders before. There were dogs walking around and it didnt look very professional. I order shirts for a family reunion (about 100 shirts) The guy ( I believe Charlie was his name, im really bad with names, the older gentlmen) was very nice, helped me design a shirt for the family and everything. They did mess up my order, when it was time to pick up the shirts I had about 20 shirts missing. They did fix that, and gave me about 25 drawstring backpacks with the design on them. I really liked that a lot. Overall I think I will do business with them again, unless I find a African American owned business that does the same. :)

Bulldog Printing is extremely responsive. I work for an educational organization, Achieve NBC, and in order to make the right impression with educators at CPS, we need to have the right printed materials. When I didnt plan properly and realized that I had to provide marketing materials to principals for a meeting I would be attending the following day, Charlie helped me develop a a folding card. He printed it and hand-folded them. He even stayed late to get it done in time! I admire Bulldog Printing for working with short lead times and for genuinely caring about the product that is delivered. You can sit with Charlie and talk about what you need. He will do his best to get it done for you. Prices are reasonable. I cant recommend Bulldog enough.

Great Printing and Writing Services at Bulldog! After my videographer taped our presentation for CPS’s Summer Institute, he handed me one single master copy… I had no idea where to get copies or how to burn a DVD so I could share it with others. I popped into Charlie’s place, Bulldog Printing. He calmed me down and told me he had the equipment that would help me and also let me know that he has been working with the schools since the late 1990s. He also showed me all the different services Bulldog can provide. So when I left his place, not only did I have copies of our presentation to share with others, but I also found a great resource for artwork, design, printing and written copy! I know I can go to Bulldog for printing and for my writing needs!

My friend got very late approval from the City for a public event. As a result, the day before, she had a t-shirt design, but no t-shirts. She made some calls and Charlie at Bulldog Printing told her to come on in She got to the store at 4:50 that afternoon, and by 6pm, she had 24 t-shirts and four muslin bags imprinted (front and back) with the events logo. The t-shirts are good quality, none of that see-through cotton. Bulldog told her they had just invested in new equipment for the shop, and it shows. The price is really reasonable, under ten bucks per t-shirt... really good for double-sided color printing, right? Cant say enough good things about Bulldog, who saved the day for my friends event.

The Good: They were able to do my shirt on the spot. The Bad: I was charged $20 to have a rainbow printed on a baby t shirt. I wasnt told it would be $20 until after the job was completed. I know, I know....I should have asked first instead of assuming it wouldnt be so pricey. Still seems like an unfair price to me. Also, when I was given the shirt back, it had brown stains on it as if the machine was dirty and stained the shirt. It was a brand new shirt I bought from American Apparel so it wasnt cheap. The guy tried to tell the shirt was already like that....FALSE! Just didnt feel like arguing with the guy. Overall- You can get the service but not professional at all.

I have used Bulldog twice in the last four months, and I have been extremely satisfied with the quality of work, pricing and quick turn around both occasions. Last week I was down to literally ten business cards. I emailed my order over to Bulldog around 1p on Tuesday, and received an email on Wednesday my cards were ready. I didnt even tell Charlie I needed a rush job, but I received a quick turn around anyway. I got a large quanity of business cards at a very afforble cost. The cards look great. I have recommended Bulldog Printing to five people in my real estate office because I was so very pleased with the work and costs.
