Before I begin, their donuts are fantastic and I travel a good distance to get them because they are the BEST vegan donuts in Atlanta, but there are some major setbacks. Complaints - 1. Every donut that isnt a generic chocolate donut is sold out 3 to 4 hours before they even close. 2. Specialty donuts are handed out in any amount and one customer can wipe the shelves of limited time donuts, which is uncaring and extremely disrespectful of not only the customer but the business for allowing that when they know so many people want to try these creations. 3. Have had occurrences of employees blatantly ignoring us trying to get their attention. 4. Was sold a broken piece of merchandise when we tried buying a cup from to rep the business. Had to give it back and get a new one off the same shelf. 5. One of the locations has two registers not but 6 inches apart from each other and its a PAINNN in the ass to have two people ordering bumping shoulders. Hard to hear and hard to think about your order when youve got multiple flavors to order. 6. There doesnt seem to be any effort to increase production when demand is so high that no donuts are even on the shelves an hour before close (which is when some people have the availability to stop by). Sure, we can order a day before, but you dont always wants 6 donuts specially made to pick up at a specific time. If thats the only way to get the flavors I want then you can count me out.

5 stars for the doughnuts, but 2-3 stars for the ambience. Ive always had good interactions with the staff, but the music is often puzzling at best and intolerable at worst. For a place that specializes in doughnuts and coffee, I would expect some laidback indie or folk music like you might hear in a coffee shop. However, hearing weird 90s techno bangers like Darudes "Sandstorm" at 10:00 AM on a Saturday was enough to make me eat in the car. I realize high energy tunes might be good for the crew slinging dough and cranking out espresso drinks, but it really kills the vibe for customers trying to enjoy the amazing doughnuts in peace. One other note in response to some of the reviews-- this aint Krispy Kreme, folks. Revolutions doughnuts are toothsome, satisfying, and flavorful. KK has a special place in my heart, but their doughnuts are far more simplistic in comparison-- just airy and sugary. In spite of the inconsistent music (I actually have heard some good stuff in there before), I end up at RevDo 3-4 times a month. I would highly recommend trying out their goods either at the shop or at a farmers market where they have a stand.

The doughnuts are light and fluffy. The flavor options are extensive and they change almost daily. They make cake and yeast style donuts, gluten-free and other special diet options. The doughnuts are not too terrible sweet. The coffee is actually really good - and Im not a coffee drinker. I wanted seconds of the brew here. Its tiny inside. Thats the only real downside. Its a good spot to hang out during the week. On weekends its not a good place to linger with your friends or a laptop... unless you dont feel guilty about hogging a table when theres a line out the door. What more can I say? Revolution is a great place to grab a couple of doughnuts and coffee when youre in the Decatur or Kirkwood area. They also show up at some of the neighborhood farmers markets throughout the week. Thats a perfect place to sample the goods. They will run out of the most popular doughnuts, so if you have your heart set on something... go early!

Revolution rules. Whats up with the one-star review by that Johnson dude? Johnson, you thought Revolution was pretentious? If so, you must be so down to earth that you clothe yourself in nothing but a few smears of mud, live in a dirt hole, and eat only sand. Speaking of sand, Johnson my man, you may have had one of Revolutions gluten free donuts. Those do taste like sand, so I get their yeast and cake-style donuts. Cake-style, not cake. Yall will dig it. They take the dough they use in their cake doughnuts but instead of baking the dough, they drop it in the fryer. Where I come from, donuts are meant to be fried, so Im not a fan of cake donuts, not even the ones at Revolution; cake-style donuts, on the other hand, dominate. All flavors are delicious. I dont review many places but when I saw that Johnson dudes review, I felt duty-bound to let yall know the real deal. Revolution is a 5 star shop. Peace out, Decatur GA!

The ambiance of the café was very hipsterish and the vibe was very relaxing. The staff was also cool and very helpful. Unfortunately that was the only thing I liked about this place. I took my husband here for Fathers Day because he loves donuts and I thought he would be in for a real treat. I ordered him the Bacon and Butter Caramel, I had the Buttermilk Bar, and we both had a scoop of Vanilla Bean ice cream. We were expecting a rich, buttery, sweet delight, but both donuts were extremely dry and hard like they had been sitting out for days. We tried to incorporate the ice cream to offset the dryness, but it did not help. Thank God they had filtered water readily available. In the end neither of us finished our donuts. You would think for the price we would have been in Donut Heaven, but we ended up in a Arizona desert.

Local doughnut shop specializing in specialty donuts. I tried toasted almond baked cake, triple chocolate cake, cinnamon sugar yeast, vanilla bean yeast, and bacon caramel yeast. The cake donuts were not dry and cakey like some cake donuts tend to be. these were really moist and sorta spongey. The toasted almond doughnut is covered with almonds and a light frosting/glaze. Really really good. Triple chocolate is a cake donut, with chocolate icing. Perfect for this chocolate loving fiend. Cinnamon sugar (according to my wife) was too plain for her taste. But thats because she was expecting the cinnamon sugar of an apple or pumpkin donut. Vanilla bean yeast was solid if not unspectacular. A safe choice if you dont want to venture into the more exotic (and more expensive) flavor choices.

This was my first visit to Revolution Doughnuts. I ordered an Iced Coffee, vanilla doughnut, and chocolate cake doughnut ($10 total). The iced coffee was good, the vanilla doughnut was decent, the chocolate cake doughnut was horrible. Im not sure if it was not cooked all the way or if it was sitting in the cooler too long (it was 3:45 in the afternoon). I asked if I could try another doughnut and was told they dont replace doughnuts. I walked to the counter and explained it tasked uncooked and asked for the chocolate yeast instead. My chocolate doughnut was thrown away and they tried to ring me up for the chocolate yeast (another $2). I wont be back. My advice to any 1st timers (other than go elsewhere) would be to make sure you choose wisely as customer service isnt a priority here.

My son has a milk allergy and we try to eat most everything as natural as possible. We visited this donut shop for the first time today and we will be back again. It is an hour from home so we can only go a couple times a year, sadly. It was very good. My children loved the donuts, as did I. My only criticisms would be that they are expensive, but that is to be expected with an all natural and vegan product and I am used to that. They do give a price break when you buy a dozen, so thats nice. Also, I wish they had all of their flavors available when we went in today. I would like to have tried a couple that werent there. I also wish they had a store closer to the Marietta Square, and it would be so great if they could publish a vegan donut cookbook.
