The customer no service at this location is horrible. we purchase (Big cakes)from publix for all our special occasions for the kid birthday we buy cakes and cupcakes I say cakes because we buy cupcakes for them to take to school and daycare to celebrate with their classmates, and if their birthday come on a week day and were waiting until the weekend to give them a party we order two cakes one for their actual birthday and one for their party, so Im saying we buy a lot of cakes, but the last few cakes havent been the best experience dealing with publix and Im thinking we should fine another bakery, this weekend was my granddaughters 8th birthday and we planned her celebration for Saturday her actual birthday. so we order her cake they told us it would be ready by 3pm my daughter went in to pick it up and the person in the bakery had a bad attitude and she told her the cake wasnt ready and that she was early. now it was early so we can understand that being there at 2:55pm in stead of 3pm made a big difference, but no need to be nasty so we leave and go out to eat and come back and pick the cake up and get it home and cut it, and its a chocolate cake inside. none of us eat chocolate cake so we make sure that the right order was taken down, we checked our order forms, and it has vanilla cake on it, I then call the bakery and tell them that the cake was wrong they tell me that the bakery Manger wasnt in, but to bring the cake back the next day and they will give us a cake free of charge but when I took the cake back they said that they could give me a refund on a gift card or the cake so I took the cake because my granddaughter didnt have a cake for her birthday now they didnt give a cake because i paid for a cake in the first place so all they give me was inconvenience. then the petty bakery lady looked at the cake I brought back and said; did she keep the toy on the top, and then she gives me the new cake undecorated because we took the cardboard figurines and coin purse off the cake I wasnt thinking to put those items back on the cake before returning it but she acted as if I was trying to steal something and this is what I get for all of the inconvenience of having to go back twice, and my granddaughter not having a cake for her birthday, and then to deal with the bad attitude and the pettiness, this publixs Customer service is a big disappointment, as a customer that paid for the cake that I wanted but was give what they wanted me to have, they act as if the cake was free, someone needs to teach them how to treat paying customers because every grocery store sales cake. in my house hold along we celebrate 7 birthdays we buy at least 7 cakes a year thats not including all the other occasion we buy cakes for each year. Im so disappointed in publix

Stick around for this review because its going to sound like a bad one at first, but Ive really never experienced better customer service. We were throwing one of my closest friends an office bridal shower. I was taking care of the cake. I had original intentions of making the cake myself, but as circumstances had it the cake was destroyed before I could finish it. I went to Publix bakery in a haste and gave them 48 hours notice for a cake. I picked up the cake and it was lovely. However, when I brought it back to the office and unboxed it, the top tier had completely fallen off the bottom tier. There were not even dowel rods in the cake to hold the tier up. Mind this was not the first time our office has bought a cake from Publix only for it to be messed up one way or the other, but this was the first time it was just completely fallen apart. We called the bakery and had the baking manager on the line and told her our situation. She was less than helpful. When we finally asked to speak to the store manager, we had her on the phone. Her name is Jennifer. She was completely sweet and understanding of the situation. She drove herself to our office and picked up the cake, had the bakery fix it, and delivered it in plenty of time for the bridal shower as well as gave me a refund that I didnt even ask for. Im so thankful for this service. Mistakes happen, and Im sure any bakery has made a screw up. My own cake was screwed up; thats why I went there! But the manager at Publix went out of her way to make it right and Im so thankful for that. And the second cake was prettier than the first.

Customer service at this location is consistently bad, and time after time their produce and other perishable products are expired. Very often prices are mislabeled or, when on sale, ring up at non-sale prices. The worst part about everything above is that, when brought to the attention of staff, they either dont care or argue about it. Tonight my wife went to buy produce and it was moldy. She approached the produce manager who was in the middle of a conversation. He just looked at the items, tossed them in his bin, and continued the conversation he was having. When ham, that was labeled on-sale, rung up 4 dollars more, the deli person stated that the sale sign was old and acted bothered. No apologies or even a care. Publix has a good reputation overall, and typically our experience is positive at other locations, but this location is not good at all.

This Publix store has one of the worst deli areas I visited and Ive made several visits just to see if they had improved. The floors are always dirty near the entrance and the customer service at the deli is non existent. They are either too slow, out of food at the deli around 4-5 pm, and are shorthanded in employees. Some people have literally just walked out. They have more employees dedicated to checking out your groceries than providing you in-store service!! The checkout experience is quick and fast because there isnt a crowd to slow you down. I dont see this store surviving too much longer ...

If you order online, you need to call too. Poorly trained deli staff rarely/never check for online orders. So far the deli is 3 for 3. Worthless, Ill never bother ordering online (or shopping) at the Salem Road deli. And you shouldnt either. Whats the POINT??? You order online, wait half an hour, go in and stand in the back of the line to get up to one of the employees who are clueless and then make your sandwich while you wait some more. Management Fail

Clean store, very clean toilets, vegetables need more work with regards to purchasing better quality for less money (Krogers is often the way to go). Has loads of organic, vegetarian, gluten free, or lactose free groceried if youre into that kind of stuff.

Deli service was ridiculous today! It took over an hour for our deli order, but the Manager Matt went above and beyond to make this up to our family! We are happy to continue shopping at Publix because of Matt and his attention to customers!
