On 3/3/15 I went to the Publix #07740. I went to the 10 item or less checkout line. Once I placed the groceries on the counter I realized I had more than 10 items. I then asked the man behind me in line if he wanted to get in front of me since he only had 1 item. He said no he was in no hurry. The cashier began to roll her eyes and make noises as she was looking at my items. She stated aloud that I had more than 10 items. I told her that I was sorry and was not going to remove 14 items from the counter and place them back in my buggy and go into another line. Then she stated that she was going to take other people in front of me. She asked the other 2 people in line if they wanted to get in front of me as I was holding up her line. I told her not to speak of me as if I were not there. She continued to talk aloud saying that I was holding up her line and started telling people in line that I was the reason the line was being delayed because I had 14 items. I told her she was rude and I had never been treated so rudely at Publix. She started laughing at me and rolling her eyes. She then again started saying aloud that I should be able to read that this line is for 10 items and under. I told her I have 2 Masters Degrees and I could read. I then again told her she was so rude and to stop arguing with me. The person bagging the groceries stopped bagging my items and was laughing. She appeared to be feeding off of his laughing and kept talking to me about holding up her line. She continued to talk about me after she was finished to the other customers in line. Once she was finished with the groceries I went to the customer service counter and spoke to Craig Noville. I was so upset I was crying. I told him the situation and he said he had to investigate but he acted as if I were lying. While I was speaking to him a man came up to me and said you had 14 items in the line. I stated to him how did you know that since you were not in the line with me? I told him to please mind his own business as the situation was already serious. I watched the man then go back to the line where the same cashier was working. I then said to the manager how would he know that if the cashier was not telling people the situation, as he was not in line when the incident occurred. I know that for a fact because I watched the other customers as she was telling then I was holding up her line. Subsequent to speaking with Craig I left the store and she was still staring at me and laughing. I was crying as I left. Once I got home I called Publix and spoke to the manager, Tracey. Tracey was not there at the time of the incident but he was very comforting and helpful. He told me he would review the tape and find out what happened to take the appropriate steps.

This is still a Publix supermarket, so there are still nice things to be said about aesthetic and prices. The location contributes to increased hassle in the shopping experience. This is a smaller sized store. The aisles are cramped, and the other shoppers do little to ease the congestion. A limited selection is confined into fewer aisles, so the items youre looking for may be unintuitively located. Ive noticed items being relocated, or no longer carried, which cause me to either wander or seek assistance from employees. The parking lot has few spaces which wrap around the building. Entry and egress from the lot is limited because its located on Dixie Highway at Five Points. Most entrances do not have turn lanes in either direction, so you stop traffic on the roads if there are other cars in the lot stopped while waiting for one of the few open parking spaces. You might have to wait for the traffic signal to change at Five Points before you can leave the parking lot because stopped traffic is blocking you. Some times, these happen together. All of these issues together lead to an unnecessarily long and difficult shopping visit every time I entered the store. I only continued to shop here because it was on my way home from work. However, shopper behavior at this location has crossed the line. With very few check-out registers open, customers abuse the express lane by entering with any number of items, or argue about listed prices being different from what is shown on the register. I waited behind a woman deciding between which items to return when her total purchase cost more than expected as she discussed the logic of what to remove from her bill with the cashier. I waited in line for a sandwich to be made by a woefully inexperienced deli employee while a customer rested his entire body on the sanitary guard, reaching his hands over it to point his fingers directly into the selection of toppings and sampling some of them. Meanwhile, a woman behind me carried on a loud phone conversation as she repeatedly bumped into me; her child occupying himself with the various things on display around us. None of this behavior should take place, but all of it happened on the same day in a single visit. The overall inconvenience and aggravation I experience at this Publix is enough to outweigh its location along my daily commute and general proximity to my home. It is a far, far better thing I do to go out of my way slightly to another store.

I love my 5 Points Publix in WILTON MANORS, FL and was so happy when they opened the new PHARMACY, but I have been totally disappointed in the attitude and demeanor of the apparent Pharmacist, Angel. He seems to be very preoccupied, maybe overworked, or just unhappy in his position at this store. His unfriendly attitude is almost as if..."I am doing HIM a favor" to be his customer and is most unbecoming. I purposely changed all of my Rx needs to this store, but now I am having second thoughts. After leaving tonight, I called and reported the same information to the store manager on duty. I look forward to hearing from the Main Store Manager and...from anyone else who might have had similar encounters...Otherwise...the employees at this store are WONDERFUL!

Most employees here are excellent but they have definitely hired some brainless idiots over the past several years. I could not find chopped pecans which used to be near the produce so I asked this empleyee. At first he ignored me and kept joking with his co-worker. When I asked again a littel louder he said if they were not there they must be out of season. I told him I was not looking for them fresh off the tree and that they came chopped in a bag that was sealed and were sold year round. After about 10 minutes of this rediculous back and forth he suggested I try a certain isle and I found them but I really think I would have been much less frustrated just searching for them on my own. What a bonehead.

There is someone in the meat department that definitely does not care about the public. I paid $18.99 per pound for a filet mignon and when I got it home it was two sirloin tips squeezed together to look like a single steak and when separated they were nothing but fat. I took them back to the store and learned they were closed at 8:00 on New Years day and the person watching the doors for customers to exit could have cared less about the package of meat I handed him to give to the store manager or manager of the meat department. Publix, if you want pictures, I can send them.
