My boyfriend recently works here, I usually pick him up and while I wait after my work, I go in like any customer does, I buy one or two beverages perhaps chips and sit at the tables they have to use wifi while on lunch break or so. Funny thing is, since the first time I actually walked into Whole Foods to look at their store, I went up to my boyfriend of course and asked about what he recommended to buy from the store to make dinner and one of his manger emediately came to me and asked if I had a question and I said no. Later on with time I would just come in and just tell my boyfriend Id buy something and wait for him at the tables, this particular manager I mentioned is named Rachel, who I guess likes to stalk me. Every other day that my boyfriend works I sit at the tables an hour before they close, and while I sit there and even bought things she liked to come and "check" on the tables...but its obvious shes checking on me. Funny thing is I even help my boyfriend stock sometimes while Im bored and ask about how it would be nice to work there, but after this nonsense of having to follow me around? I make what she makes in a month in one day. I looked up to the store and everything they do to help others, but its unfortunate that people like her seem so overwhelmed by assumption on others. She never had the gut to tell my boyfriend directly she doesnt want me around him, or tell me anything but send cops to follow me.. I feel harrased and very disappointed in her. I dont know how she got to management. Im a customer like any other person walking thru those doors, and because I date one of the workers, which is actually one of the hardest working ones, he always gets his job done on time and is very sweet. Hopefully he leaves this place, cause people like Rachel dont get too far, she can stay the ignorant racist arrogant person she is. So no I dont recomend Whole Foods downtown. Try the Fresh Market ☺

Although the workers at whole foods are really nice and polite (this is why i gave the store one star) the quality of the hot bars and sushi is not worth the prices levied against customers. For starters, i actually tried filing a complaint on their website which actually BLOCKED my complaint from going through about just how bad the selections and quality of the meals cooked needed to communicated-How about that for listening to your customer base? I have complained and returned many lunch hot bars due to STALE food preparation like the "rubbery recooked chicken" or watered down "soupy" potatoes to no avail. The food selections are just atrocious and this particular WF never has enough staple meats (like beef, chicken, pork, lamb, etc.) in the hot bar at any one given time while loading it up with veggies that are just not cooked properly. Now the sushi is just some of the worst tasting and least fresh preparations of overpriced food i have ever seen. Publix (another store i am not fond of) at least will give you VERY fresh sushi and it is made daily and has gotten more of my business of late. Lets not even talk about the watered down scrambled eggs or stale sausage at this Sarasota Location. Is any one in corporate listening??

Terrible Whole Foods Store. For starters the bathrooms are FILTHY. There was used toilet paper on the floors, dirt on the toilet seats, unflushed toilets, soap everywhere, in fact THE dirtiest Whole Foods bathroom Ive ever seen. The salad bar was non-existent, just two rows of cooked heavy comfort foods so no fresh salad selections or any healthy selections for that matter. The eating area was filled with dirty tables and we had to hunt down some help to replenish the napkins and eating utensils. And dont even get me started on all the moldy old produce in the produce section. When we checked out the cashier wasnt polite (not even a "hello"?) or helpful and the bagger was too lazy to even package our groceries and put them in our cart. Excuse me but isnt that what a bagger is supposed to do?? Considering the high end area its in you would think customer service, freshness, and cleanliness would be a priority but thats definitely not the case with this store. I will never shop here again.

I was a loyal customer since 2004 when they opened their doors in Sarasota. Not anymore. May 20, 2017 was my last day after being stalked and mistreated by Rachel (that day she was the manager, usually Gregory wears the title), I made a decision to give other nice organic stores in my area a chance....and their number is certainly growing. As a cancer survivor, I certainly dont need the aggravation or the stress that the Whole Foods Market has been offering along with the over priced food. What is even sadder is that the management isnt even interested in knowing why they have lost so many patrons. Oh well, I have the choice of enjoying my coffee in an air conditioned, pleasant environment in other stores where I am treated the way it should be...with mutual respect and a smile.

Wholefoods offers everything youd want in a downtown organic grocery store. Great selection of produce, organic products, knowledgeable & friendly staff. The Wholefoods center also offers super convenient parking in a multi-storage garage, that is well-maintained by the staff. The only detriment is that the prices are a bit high, but, that does with the territory with organic grocers. Outside of the cost, it is an astounding place. I always feel better when Im inside the store, it is not only a great place to shop, it is a great value to the downtown and the city. Were fortunate to have Wholefoods.

Their customer service and merchandising is generally excellent. Im giving WF a two-star review because they sold me spoiled food, and when I complained they simply apologized. They didnt offer to replace the spoiled food I paid for which makes them a two-star grocery store at best. Why does WF pay people to monitor their FB but not actually correct problems? EDIT: This was an expensive pain in the behind, Im changing my rating one star. It could have been three or four stars if management had made an effort to correct the mistake.

I cannot understand why Wholefoods removes almost all the fat from beef and pork or, indeed, any meat that they sell: Fat contains most of th flavour and is an important nutrient for the brain. I understand that some people erroneously think it unhelpful for managing their waist or heart but at the very least leaving the fat on and giving the consumer the choice to have or not have would be helpful. I appreciate that Fresh Market and Publix also cut off the fat but I thought that Wholefoods wanted to play in a different market.

While somewhat pricey, they do have an excellent selection of fresh seafood, meats, pre-prepared foods, cheeses. Also a wonderful produce section! Large fresh salad bar and a good selection of hot soups and foods to go. Sandwich area and bakery are excellent as well. My husband and I go often, mainly for the pre-prepared foods. One minor complaint: Like too many food stores, they stick those dang dried cranberries in everything! I wish theyd stop doing that. I dont like sweet things in my savory foods.
