I own my property and I am the President of my Condo Board Association. A few weeks ago (in Aug) the handyman for my building had a health issue and is no longer able to work. I’ve been looking and interviewing handymen but in the meantime, I tried to finish a few simple tasks myself. One of them was to purchase 2 sewage covers for the garage. I took pictures and measurements of the part I needed and went to American Plumbing store located on 17th and Alton Rd. When I arrived, there were 5 customers (all male) and I stood aside waiting for my turn. A few minutes later, one of the attendants ask who was next. I looked at the 5 customers as there were already looking at me and since nobody said anything, I responded “I guess it’s me” and they nodded as yes. As I started to explain what I needed and showing the pictures, another attendant came to look at them. The 2nd attendant told me he needed to know the brand. I said I had no idea. He complimented my pictures and measurement and told the 1st attendant to go to the back and bring what they had to compare with the pictures. At this time, an older man with an authority figure came into the conversation and told the attendants “forget about her, go take care of somebody else”. Both attendants “disappeared” pretty fast, so I assumed he was either the manager or the owner. (please notice that everybody else in the store were already been taking care of). As I am in chock I just responded “excuse me?” and he said “we don’t have what you need. Leave my store”. I said “the attendant told the other one to bring me what you have”. He responded “you don’t belong in my store. Leave!”. I just stand there, memorized and almost dizzy. At this point he yells “leave my store and don’t ever come back!” pointing to the door. I ran out shaking. Also I would like to add that I found a handyman (in Sept) and a few days ago he purchased the sewage covers from that same store...

The best lumber prices youll find without going to a distributor and paying by the board foot, but then youd still have to mill it! They also deliver it to your worksite for $25 if you dont have a truck or the time to pick it up yourself, I mean a taxi ride costs me more than that! If youre looking for a customer service oasis in Miami Beach then you should definately move somewhere else, and as far as that goes the Ace Hardware across the street and down the block has way worse customer care than here for what its worth.

The worst customer service ever I come in at 4:23 minutes and theyre already told me they close off that I getting the try to help me but after that time I ask for something else that The time Italain and get a ready cause I cannot do it I cant help anymore this is so stupid white wrong guy old with Abet attitude this guy its wrong to be here I was taught to spend $150 because of that guy I did not by any think what a shame shame on you I dont know whos the manager pain people without watching them screw this place

I went there for some fuse wire, the Sales Prevention Officer, grunted, " whats it for ?" a fuse I replied, he retorted, " its for a boat isnt it ?" ( I was in my crew gear ) I confirmed that it was......" we dont sell marine fuse wire " .... not a problem, I insited, just give me what you have. " No cant sell you that " and walked off. I waited five minutes and then somebody told me to leave. What a beautiful shopping experience.......NOT !!!!!

Crooks. They include on their "pick ticket" thats attached to your credit card slip that theres a 25% re-stocking fee for any returns. I returned an un-opened bubble wrapped item 45 minutes after buying and they then pointed out the fee. Do not support this policy! Do not shop here. Sleazy people, ancient dumpy facility, poor customer service.

Hit then miss. Every other time I visit this store I get really good service and some helpful and some knowledgeable. Never mind expecting what you need. Product, helpful and knowledgeable service... Its not going to happen. I go every time with the understanding that this Store is almost invaluable in not leaving the beach.

the place is a rip off charged me $6.90 for a t8 4ft light bulb that I pay $2.00 at all other supply houses will never go back there counter guy was useless didnt know what he was doing and service very slow I guess they dont like repeat business by the way I will never order your light fixtures from any other supply houses

Theyll rip you off hard if you dont know what youre doing. They prefer to only sell supplies to plumbers and electricians. Anyone else they will take advantage of as much as they can. I talked the sales clerk down from $150 to $75. Thats standard business for this company.

Unbelievable and rude. I called for a part, they said they had it. Of course they didnt. The instant I mentioned that I called yesterday they stopped talking to me and started YELLING to get out of the store and then something about scratching my balls. Never go there.
