My daughter called Gables flowers in a panic! She was dressed and ready for prom when she realized she had forgotten to get a boutonniere for her date! The owner answered the phone, listened to my daughters dilemma and calmly responded, " Do what you need to do, weve got you covered." While my daughter posed for pictures in anticipation of prom, I headed out to get the arrangement. The shop owner was ready with the arrangement in hand as I walked through the door. I thanked her profusely for waiting on me and went to my car. For an unknown reason my car did not start when I left the shop. Figuring I had left the key in the shop, I went back in to find it. It wasnt there. I went back to my car to look for it and the car was locked with my phone, purse, boutonniere and keys inside. Not sure what caused this fluke, it was my turn to get frantic. The shop owner offered me a lift to the prom, as soon as she finished making a new arrangement. I am sorry I did not get her name but I repeated this story of the womans kindness and peaceful demeanor to everyone I encountered throughout the weekend. I was very touched by her and will be back whenever I need a florist.
