Is ShopRite at First State Plaza is one of the finest cleanest and most comfortable supermarkets that Ive ever experienced. Been shopping at ShopRite many many years and have no reason to shop elsewhere , maybe on a rarity. Ill even stop there if Im riding by just to get a few things. Got to know many many of the employees working there and everyone is so wonderful and helpful to my behalf. Got to know many of the store managers and employees who make me feel like family when I go there. The proprietor mr. Bernie Kenny who I got to know personally always makes ask me how Im doing and I tell him hes amazing for the operation of such a wonderful store. Been going there for years with no reason to go anywhere else , since my wife passed away last year everybody there always asked how Im doing just like family and help me in any way possible. Walked in the store yesterday June 13, and Wayne Ostafy the store manager just said hi Rich how you doing and I just felt so right at home. Got my steamed salmon patties for lunch and bananas and all the food is great looking forward to have some fried chicken which is next best to KFC. The store the manager Mr Kenney and all his employees are just so amazing. Thank you ShopRite for giving me the comfort of shopping with all my friends at ShopRite. Over and out. Military talk.

My experience is usually great, shopping here.But today at the Customer Service Dept. I was really irritated by the lady in customer service. I ask the guy in the soda isle did they have more 6 pack Pepsi and mountain dew he said no, so you have to get raincheck. After paying for my purchase mind you which came to $320.00, I went to customer service to get a raincheck. The lady had me wait 10-15 minutes while she called anout the sodas, which made me think she thought I was not telling the truth, which irritated me, in the mean while another guy brought the sodas up. The reason Im writing this review is because if I spentb320 already why would I lie about spending $10 more.

My experience here was horrible on two occasions. On the first occasion the young man behind the register didnt ask for my price plus card so I didnt get any of the sales and when I said hello to him he grunted at me. On the second occasion the young black girl running the register got smart with me and ran her smart a** mouth the entire time I was in her line all because I had a 17 items instead of 15. She still works there and I experienced her yesterday when I was in there tell another customer to "Go ahead with her dumb self because you picked the wrong one cause I will let you know bout yourself" very poor customer service!

Ive been shopping here for almost 2 years weekly. I love the sales, prices and atmosphere. Its a nice store, helpful employees. I realized how awesome this site was when I locked my keys in my car late at night. I went inside to see if there was a method of getting it unlocked. The store associate called pop a lock and shop rite insisted on paying them when they arrived, saying that this is another way of taking care of its customers. Such a huge help. Thanks Mr. Kenny. This veteran thanks you for your community contributions.

A manager in the bakery by the name of John is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever encountered, he is disrespectful to customers and my wife and I even saw him literally screaming in another store associates face, a woman no less. If these are the kind of people you want to have running your store then I will gladly take my business elsewhere.

They offer great prices compared to other stores. I also have mobility problems, and their online ordering is a blessing. They deliver your groceries to your door. They have a wide variety of groceries, Asian, Hispanic, Jamaican, Indian seasonings and supplies. What is nice about the online shopping is I can check my pantry and not double buy something.

Angie (hope this name is correct as that is what I am told) in the bakery dept is GREAT and so helpful! Shop rite needs to recognize what kind of employee they have in her. She really listens and each time I order -all special orders she does not fail to deliver and with a smile!

ShopRite of Newport-Stanton is a very nice place to complete a supermarket run. Its convenient to McDonalds, Movies 10 Theatre, a Dollar Tree, the Newport Post Office, and it is accessible to public transportation. I always have a good experience here at ShopRite!

Nice place to shop, clean but when they changed the entrance to the store and the way you exit the parking lot is poor very congested and hard to access and exit. PUT THE THE ENTRANCES BACK ON BOTH SIDES OF BUILDING, THE ENTRANCE/EXIT IN THE MIDDLE SUCKS!

They are hands down the best. The seafood Dept. Rocks and there prices and specials are always on point i love the diversity of employees and and the cashiers are very perfessional and the store is always clean

I do 90% of my grocery shopping here. Most times, Im very satisfied. However, you need to pay attention to the use-by dates on packages. I have found quite a few items on shelves that have expired.

I only have one concern about this shop rite, once I went to checkout, there was all these people in line, but there is only a few registers open, otherwise, the whole store is good.

They usually have really good coupons they mail to customers. If you dont have them dont worry just go to the customer service desk and ask them and they will give them too you.

Great store. Very clean and well organized. Lots of selection and even when its very busy, the cashiers keep the lines moving quickly. They usually offer pretty good coupons too

The only complaint I have is that the leafy greens section looks like it hasnt been cleaned in years... mold everywhere! Otherwise, this store is great.
