Tried to return a Christmas tree. My receipt said I had until the end of this month. Clerk had my Visa in hand ready to return the tree until manager pointed to a piece of paper taped onto the counter saying Christmas items with lights must be returned by Christmas Eve. Manager said paper was at registers since before Thanksgiving. Who during the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping thinks to look around the store to read policies contradictory to what reciept of purchase states. Called corporate and corporate said manager told them the tree has tinsel and orniment pieces on it. Lol! Offered to take pics of tree and email to corporate but they took lying manager's word over the customers. Was not true and was not the reason manager gave me for refusing to give me a refund at store. Confusing customer with contradictory return policies, lying on customer to justify not honoring what receipt said, and manager of customer service ctr cutting customer off and not listening to customer&#39;s issue is a store I will no longer spent my $200-$300 a year shopping at.

Probably the worst customer service you could imagine. Bought an air mattress, it was the only one they had at that price but the box was damaged and open. Considering we needed one we bought it and asked if something was wrong if we could still return it. Come to get home and the cap was missing and there were holes in it some where because it wouldnt stay inflitated. We got there to return it and they gave us such a hard time. They gave my mother a hard time, the employee lied about selling us the mattress and I stepped in and said I was there, that she did sell it and the manager told me "yeah yeah Im doing it so enough, you can stop" and kept antiganizing the situation. Mind you know Im only 16, and this oldder woman would not stop being rude to me and questioning the employee who sold it to us while she was cashing out other customers. She was so rude and honestly, Im thinking about calling there district manager. NEVER am I going there EVER again. I dont recommend going there. Sure, prices are good, but theres other ocean states around, with better customer service.

I frequent this store and always find great prices on many of the basic items I need like toiletries, casual clothes, yard and garden supplies. With the savings, Im able to buy little extras like fancy foods, premium dog treats, home goods and giftware. The oriental rugs they carry are a great value. They are as durable as they are beautiful! I also love the fresh sweetbread they carry with and without raisins. Ive had great customer service whenever Ive visited because I treat people who are helping me with the respect any working person deserves. Part of the adventure of shopping at Ocean State is that since the merchandise is mostly closeouts, one never knows what bargains are to be found. I almost always go in to get a few things and wind up with several overflowing bags of great finds!

they have good enough selections for basic household goods - namely things for like (rugs , bedding and towels ). Have to say it is over crowded in there.. And like in most corporate places now - day in and out sorting. That should be done by some stock people at night. Cant do that. Too bad. Bc if hear any more moaning for the regs who try to sort and clean as you shop, will no longer go there. They are annoying ! Was looking for towels as she was hovering near me. Got some with pulls in them just to get out of her way. Sorry. Its not happening again. I dont put things all over the place. People shouldnt ! Not sure what makes ppl do that. But its small enough square footage to get a couple at night to sort. And leave it the heck alone during the day as people try and shop.

Just left this dump. Waited in line while a guy argued with the manager about an item with the wrong price tag. Got up to check out and the item I had that was priced for $30 rang out for $100. Two customers in a row? Time for this store to do a cleaning and fix their prices. I wont be going back to this location thats for sure.

The employees are not the most friendly but the store is pretty big and well stocked. Every time you go there is different inventory and the stock is constantly moving and revolving.

Went to get wee pads for my dog and the sign said 5.99 reg 9.99 took a pic the girl went and looked and it was an old sign and there was none left bad deal

I feel the store could be a bit more organized and more inviting. They do have decent prices for most items. I have never had an issue with staff.

I go here every couple years to replace my log holder covers. They didnt have them this year. Guess Ill resort to Home Depot.
