Usually my wife and I go to cracker barrel for breakfast when we travel as they are consistent and fairly cheap. This restaurant belies the consistency....the server was pleasant when taking our orders, at least my order, as the items my wife requested were unavailable; no poached eggs, no muffins. She did allow that she could bring her biscuits to replace the apple cinnamon muffin which was to be included as part of their meal special. Instead my wife just ordered water and browsed in the store while my meal was prepared. My order, the sunrise sampler came out quickly enough, the eggs cooked well although the bacon was a tiny shredded morsel the ham and sausage were OK. Hash brown casserole was good, grits were thin and watery, gravy was nothing noteworthy. The biscuits were dark brown and hard, and I am glad my wife had not accepted them as a substitute when attempting to place her order. The server stopped by once to place the check on the table, not to bring the jam I had requested with my order, nor did she check to see if a refill of coffee was needed (it wasnt, since I didnt receive coffee til a few minutes after food arrived), but she did mention it was no hurry.... we were done shortly afterward, and went to pay our bill, and I expressed my concerns to the cashier ( well, she asked!), but she didnt seem interested in responding to those concerns, nor seeking someone who could respond on the companys behalf. In all, a disappointing visit to our go to vacation breakfast spot...I think we will go to Bob Evans next time....

I called at 4:38 and ordered four meals to go. I even had the waitress verify that they werent out of these particular meals. She said 20 mins, and I asked if I could call to verify they were ready before we left. Weve been left waiting for 45 mins for our order before, and I wanted to avoid that scenario. She said yes, I could do that but she didnt forsee any issues... Had my husband call 20 minutes later. He gave my name, and the woman confirmed the order should be ready by the time he got there. It is now almost 6pm and my husband is not home yet. They had NO record of me even calling and placing an order. Not my name, or the phone number they asked for! I had to screen shot my call log and text it to my husband to prove I even called. I am FURIOUS! These people are inept and callous and irresponsible. This is not the first time weve had issues with this Cracker Barrel, but its the LAST! I do not recommend giving these people your business! Eat anywhere but here!

Itll do. Still love the country store.. although I was being followed by a male associate, he lingered around like he didnt trust that I wasnt going to steal. I never steal, I dont look suspicious, this was ridiculously funny to me. When we ate breakfast our waitress was nice, she brought out everything quickly but then also quickly forgot to ask if we needed coffee refills, napkins, condiments, etc. I asked for ketchup and Tabasco, which I reminded the well-mannered waitress about 15 minutes later that I still desired them. By the time they arrived my eggs were cold. However, I am saddened to report that she did not offer to refill my coffee at that time. She returned towards the end of our meal, so I was excited to get some hot coffee, but she had just came to drop off the bill. I asked for a couple things, like the Apple butter and coffee. But they were never brought.

STAY AWAY!!!! I love Cracker Barrel. This branch terrible. We arrived at dinner hour -- 6:20 & looking forward to the campfire dinners. Waitress said they had none. What?! And they take an hour to cook. This was why we drove to CB. Disappointed. Asked for manager. He stands & offers bland apology & said we had more customers & we dont want to make too much & have to throw out food. Ok, so we pick something else. Told they have no Mac & cheese. Really?! Sigh. Ok, but were hungry. Ordered something else. Biscuits were old & lukewarm. Then food came & were told no baked potatoes!!! Nope -- gotta leave. Third strike. Manager didnt even care!!! Just looked at us with an "oh well.". We left. Never again!!!!! Poor management. Imagine condition of kitchen with all this confusion & chaos!

"No Thanks" on Thanksgiving....! Took my family to Cracker Barrel in East Windsor for Thanksgiving dinner this year. The waitress was brand new and overwhelmed for such a busy day, but she ws polite and trying her best. They got 4 out of 6 meals wrong, and didnt tell us they were out of baked potatoes until they came out mashed on the plates. My sons meal came with pecans in the mashed potatoes, and when we tried to tell the manager he spoke poor english and became argumentative. The best part was that they forgot my wifes meal all together, and everyone elses meals were either cold or finished by the time it came out. Couldnt even say grace together on Thanksgiving! A complete waste of $100. Very disappointing.

We were traveling and stopped for a late dinner. After a long wait to order, found they were out of most everything-chicken, potatoes, meatloaf, drink items etc.Probably should have found a different restaurant at that point. Ended up ordering breakfast items as that was pretty much all they had. When the order was brought to the table, we were told they had run out of more items, but they could bring us some random stuff as a substitute. Almost positve we were served egg substitute. Dry, overcooked nastiness! Cracker Barrel is usually very reliable and this was terrible. Manager nowhere to be found. Told the cashier and no apologies. I would avoid this restaurant if you have another choice.

The only reason I gave this place 3 stars is because the food was pretty good. We visited around midday on a Saturday during the fall and the wait was very long. We wondered around in the store for about 20 waited for our name to be called. My girlfriends order was incomplete it took much longer than normal for us to flag down the waiter to have him complete the order. Additionally, once we were seated, it took another 20+ minutes for our food to make it to our table, only for it to be incomplete. 40+ minutes in and we still havent started eating yet. The food was good, but not worth the wait

I love this place. It was my first time there and I had a good experience. The staff were very nice, and the ambiance was nice, old American . We had the raspberry and peach iced tea to drink, which tasted very good . The biscuits were sooooo good, but the corn muffins were NOT good, not enough corn meal . My boyfriend had the fish fry haddock with fries . The portion was good. I had the chicken fried steak with macaroni and cheese, mashed potato and gravy, and buttered corn. (My mean came with three sides.) I definitely wish there was one closer to Boston =(

Hate is a strong word, but I will never spend my hard earned money here again. Granted I went at lunch time today, very busy. We put our name in, got called within 15-20 min. Waitress was so so. The wait was ridiculous for our food. An hour went by until we got our food... and the food was awful. Fried steak was dry and bland. Fried chicken fillet was dry like they breaded shoe leather. Back in the day this place was good, seems to me this restaurant is mismanaged and the chef doesnt care. Wasted my time and money here.
