Twin Lakes General Store: Please dont treat me like a dirty hiker. I AM a dirty hiker, but Im also a dirty hiker with a credit card, and likely would have spent much more in your store had I not been treated with such contempt. I didnt appreciate being told to "please move" by one of your employees when I was sitting on your front porch, eating overpriced snacks purchased in your store, after almost faiting from dehydration and low blood sugar after climbing Elbert that morning. Again, I might have bought more in your store. I didnt. Also, your resupply package situation sucks. If you dont want to take packages and manage them in some kind of real way, dont take them. Or consider charging hikers a nominal fee (perhaps $5 per package?) to actually manage them. But yeah: please consider treating hikers better. Otherwise, we will find some other place to go, and large part of your business will dry up.

Such great service and friendly folks! I was really surprised at the selection of good as I ran short of some supplied while camping. The maps were plentiful, snacks, camping goods, firewood and yes... they sell gasoline at a great price! Thanks so much for all the tips and recommendations as I hadnt been to the area before!

The owners are super knowledgeable of the area. They have a great area just for hikers to sit and relax. Additionally they are the only resupply area in the town twin Lakes which makes it nice and convenient. For such a small town, it has a decent variety of goods for you to select from for both hiking and camping.

Nice little general store for your traveling needs. Great cup of coffee for A BUCK. Perfect place to gas up before you hit independence pass, or after you almost run your tank dry coming out of it. Only toilet available is the outhouse across the street at the national park monument, or Id give it that 5th star.

Stopped in the General Store to buy postcards. Theyre a dollar each! For regular-size postcards! Thats crazy. I didnt price other items so I dont know if everything else in the store is also three times what other places charge, but if youre planning on shopping there, you might want to re-think that.

I love this general store! Great atmosphere and a perfect stop after camping for snacks, supplies, or gifts. The service has been great both visits Ive made. Bathroom is across the street.

Went to the local art gallery featuring local artists it was amazing !! So was punkys food truck out front and the awesome shade trees we enjoyed lunch under !!
