I came by today to pick up some crushed stone and found the staff very helpful. The woman at the counter explained everything to include how to get multiple materials. She told me there was no minimum and that I was welcome to hand pick the small landscape boulders. While doing exactly that a young guy came walking by and offered to help me pick out some nice boulders. Afterwards he pointed me in the direction of the crushed stone I originally came for, reminded me to get a weight ticket before getting the second material, and said he would send a loader over to assist. A few minutes later the loader came rolling up driven by the woman who originally helped me. She got me loaded up with my half ton of stone which she estimated and was nearly dead on once I hit the scale. Its nice to see well rounded skill sets combined with the helpful attitude. After paying I grabbed a price list which I looked over with my wife tonight and were already planning a trip to pick out some large boulders for our back yard.

Completely unhelpful. Offered no recommendations as to what type or amount of rock I would need to fill in strip of land next to my driveway. Told her the square footage, she asked me how many tons I needed. She reluctantly calculated that it was two tons and then didnt want tell me the price per ton. Seemed annoyed that I didnt know exactly what was needed. Made absolutely no effort to make a sale, just wanted to move on to the next customer. Could have at least sent me on my way with a brochure or some form of information. Will not go back.

I have been using the Pioneer location off Vollmer Rd. for my landscape project. The staff has been absolutely wonderful and the delivery drivers have all been very friendly and accommodating. I used to go to Home Depot for landscaping supplies now I use Pioneer. I am getting ready to build a planter in the front yard this weekend and I will be heading down to Pioneer.
