Preferring to support small businesses, my husband and I have been regular customers at Camelot since we moved into the neighborhood last year. After a recent trip to the store, however, we will never go back. I grabbed a bottle of champagne listed in a display for $14.99 (the sign literally had a picture of the bottle I had in my hand on it). When the son of the owner rang me up, the bottle rang up as $16.99 so I mentioned to the son that the bottle was advertised at a lower price. After huffing and puffing, he made me walk him back to the display. First, he tried to argue with me that it wasnt the bottle I had grabbed that was for sale (I then showed the names on the sign and bottle matched, and pointed out that the picture ON the advertisement was of the exact same bottle I was trying to purchase). Then, he said (out loud!) "you had to go and do this, didnt you?"... to me! Like I was in the wrong for expecting a store to honor the price listed with their products. We then walked back up to the front and the store owner (Im assuming...he called the younger man "son") intervened and very bluntly said "thats an old price. Its wrong. You have to pay the full price". And repeated over and over again that it was the "old" price (which is strange, considering I had been in the exact same aisle only a few days earlier and there had been no sign). To be clear, $2 would not make or break the bank for me (and quite honestly, Im not a bargain shopper by any means, even if my husband wishes I was. This wasnt about having to pay more $) but the customer service and overall attitude towards a regular customer was absolutely absurd! And to insinuate that I, the customer, was in the wrong for pointing out the price discrepancy...My husband and I had walked through the snow to Camelot that night specifically for the champagne. Instead, I walked out, we walked home, and drove in the snow to a small liquor store down the street (where we had a wonderful experience!). We will be supporting nearby small stores instead of Camelot from now on. Ironically, we will be hosting "Friendsgiving", Thanksgiving, and Christmas meals at our home, on top of purchasing a very large volume of wine bottles to gift to my husbands clients for the holidays. Around the holidays especially, we try to support the "small guys" with our business. Camelot just lost out on quite literally more than $2,000 worth of business over $2...for an "old" advertisement they refused to honor / made a regular customer uncomfortable over.

Absolutely the worst liquor store in town. It closes before every other store. The staff is rude, unfriendly and slow. It is always the same two guys there, both of them are complete jerks. They stare at you mistrustfully, they have no sense of urgency. The only reason I ever go there is because they have some good prices. The place could use some people who are actually experienced in customer service! Good riddance to this place, I would recommend literally any other place to this one.

I have been going here for years due to the close location to my house. Not the nicest people, but good prices. Last time I went the younger employee behind the counter told me that my credit cards were declined, all 4 of them! He even said jokingly "No wine for you". I came home and called my card companies, all the cards were fine. What game was he playing? If he wasnt, he is obviously incompetent. They have lost my business!

Meh, not much to say...staff was ok, not friendly, but not rude, just ok. Price on what I purchased was good and worth the drive, its not my neighborhood store but I dony like that one, they are rude. Service with a smile seems to have disappeared from from the American Psyche..

They would not honor an advertised price, so we left. We drove down the street and purchased the same item from a competitor. I have been going here for the last year, and will not return. I hope it was worth it.

Seems like a nice family owned store, the staff will go out of their way to help find hard to locate liquor. Great changing selection of harder to find/nice whiskeys. Prices are competitive.

The prices are great at Camelot Liquors. "Like" them on Facebook to see videos of new beverages.
